New minion aspect

Currently, high level NMs pretty much require blood mist which is easy to equip with builds that sacrifice minions. A possible quick easy fix for minion builds would be an aspect that
“While you have 9 or more minions and none sacrificed, each minion absorbs x% dmg from player that is above y% of player’s max health”.
With this, increase cast speed of Raise Skeleton and possibly the heal. Because by “absorb”, I mean the minion takes the x% of damage. The aspect might only appear on ancestral legendary gear or it could be a unique. This would be easier than fixing minion aggro and AI for now. I think this could make minion/shadow hybrid builds more viable in NM30+. And it would require a fair amount of investment into minion passives/aspects/stats/paragons to keep 9+ minions alive.
I think x = 4%, y = 30%. So minion would take would be (dmg-(30% of necro maxHP)) x 4%. Necro would still take 30% of maxHP + ((dmg- 30% maxHP) (100% - (numMinions x 4%))

We did this with the Mastermind class back on City of Villains. It actually worked really well, and even made the class work decently in PvP.

I’ve had other thoughts as well; maybe an Aspect or Passive that on damage that would kill you causes you to turn insubstantial for a short period of time instead.

Yeah, I’m not set on what I suggested as long as it would require having a minion build with all their paragon and passives. And that you have a fair amount of defense. My gear is pretty well balanced for offensive vs defensive, so I shouldn’t get 1 shotted. 2 shot, I’m fine with that. But I do, frequently. There are just too many high damage monster abilities that you can’t dodge because the visual cues aren’t easy to see with all that is happening on the screen when you have 12 minions and pools of miasma… And the some monster abilities you can’t even see no matter what

Im at NM45 and my minions jave zero issues with living.

Post your build and gear abd lets find the problem.

My minions aren’t having trouble surviving. I get random one-shotted by abilities I can’t see are coming. So my suggestion was an aspect that spreads the 1 shot dmg amongst myself and my minions. But you could still get 1 shotted if you def was low or too many of your minions were dead.
They lazily made the game difficult by adding 1 shot killer abilities you can’t see coming to monsters and the only counter is blood mist or go all in on Def and not be able to do enough damage. In Diablo 2, you could see those abilities and evade. But with D4 and the graphics, it’s so busy you often can’t see $hit coming
