NEW Boss and UBER distribution idea. đź’ˇ

This is to breakup the monotony of Duriel with other bosses that also drop ubers. This would also require some new ubers be introduced to the game and new bosses. I made some new UBERS here.

The idea is to add more bosses to the game and have these bosses have a chance to drop ubers as well. Each boss would have different ways to summon as well making the entire boss and uber experience much more varied.

All boss mats now go to the materials tab to prevent dupes
For bosses using materials only the summoner gets an uber. Other party members still get items. This is to prevent RMT from selling runs and to help solo players. The chance for ubers is raised to make up for this making it a win win for everyone but RMT.

Duriel
Summoning: Changed to 1 egg and 1 shard.
UBER Dropped: Shako
Items: All 925 power

Andariel
Summoning: Every 20 events completed you gain 1 token of andariel
UBER Dropped: Andariel’s Visage
Items: Drops extra helms

Selig
Summoning: 100 veiled crystals.
UBER Dropped: Melted :heart: of Selig
Items: Drops extra amulets

Ghom
Summoning: Can be summoned with 1000 sigil dust.
UBER Dropped: NEW UBER Pestilence Boots
Items: Drops extra boots

Leoric
Summoning: 50 Leoric Signets. Chance to drop from undead enemies.
UBER Dropped: Wand of the Necropolis (NEW Minion focused uber)
Items: High chance to drop minion affix items or wands

Aranaea
Summoning: Chance to be in dungeons with the Infested by Spiders affix. LV 100 is 100% chance.
UBER Dropped: New UBER Spidersilk Gauntlets
Items: At least 1 affix on each item will be max

Belial
Summoning: 30 Fiend Roses
UBER Dropped: The Grandfather
Items: Only drops two handed weapons

Azmodan
Summoning: 30 Forgotten Souls.
UBER Dropped: Doombringer
Items: Always drops at least 1 max aspect legendary

Greed
Summoning: Portal to his realm that sometimes opens from defeated goblins
UBER Dropped: Any
Items: Always drops a large amount of gold

Urzael
Summoning: 1 of each royal gem
UBER Dropped: Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander
Items: All items drop with max slots

Adria
Summoning: This boss takes 5 unique dust to summon. Gain unique dust by salvaging uniques.
UBER Dropped: Corrupted Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander
Items: Drops items with at least 1 corrupted affix. Corrupted affix is in green text. Corrupted affixes cannot be enchanted. Corrupted affixes are always max rolled.

Mathael
Summoning: This boss is on an 8 hour timer.
UBER Dropped: Ring of Starless Skies
Items: Drops lots of rings

Diablo
Summoning: 1 in 5 chance to be in a helltide as a world boss at the 5 min left mark.
UBER Dropped: Any
Items: Drops items with the Hell affix. Hell affix has red text. Hell Affixes are like normal affixes but can also be enchanted with aberrant cinders instead of gold and have 15% higher stats in helltides.

Wand of the Necropolis
30% Minion Damage
30% Minion Health
30% Minion Movement Speed
30% Minion Attack Speed
Minions inherit 10% of your stats for each minion you have.
You can have 1 more of each minion.

Spidersilk Gauntlets
60 All stats
12% Crit Chance
10% Attack Speed
Lucky Hit 5% - Restore 15% primary resource and health.
Add your INT to your DEX.
Add three times your DEX to your armor.
Add four times your STR to your max life.
You are immune to slow.
Gain 25% move speed for 4 seconds after you prevent a slowing effect.

Corrupted Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander
16.0% Critical Strike Chance
20.0% Attack Speed
35.0% Damage
Lucky Hit: 25%
Gain a random Corrupted Shrine effect for 30 seconds after killing an Elite enemy. Can only occur once every 30 seconds.

Corrupted Shrines:
Greater Greed - Like greed but bigger. You are slowed while moving away from gold for too long.
Dark Artillery - Dark Arrows instead of holy arrows. Dark arrows have wider attack but a bit less damage.
Blast Bombs - Sends random bombs out instead of blast waves on intervals. More damage and mayhem but less predictable.
Lethality - 100% crit chance and damage for you and all minions.
Shadow Surge - Gives you 300% move speed, immunity to shadow damage, and your ultimate deals 500% more damage.
Dark Conduit - Black colored ball. Automatically targets enemies in range but you lose control of your movement in this time. Still invulnerable.
Dark Channeling - Skills cost more resource but have greatly reduced cooldown times.
Protection - Not a corrupted shrine

Pestilence Boots
18% Movement Speed
18% Movement Speed while an enemy is poisoned
40 All stats
60% Poison Resistance

Poison damage from enemies (not players) has your bonus lucky chance to heal you.
Your poison ticks down 100% slower but deals 100% more poison damage.

This is a way better system right?

Sure, I think so. More boss variety is nice. I like this way more than farming boring Duriel all day long. Don’t get me started on how tedious the mats farming process is for Duriel…

I also would like to add, the drop rate needs to go up a bit more though.

I like the Diablo helltide idea and corrupted shrines

ARPG isnt boss fight. Reduce summon mats. Allow sparks to drop from NMD dungeons 100 or 100+ exclusively. Nerf OP builds, buff underperforming builds. Open WT5+ , buff monster damage / HP, promote more methodical fighting schemes / mechanics. Enough 1 shotting / mindless fights based on gears. Best gears = entry level requirements of certain tier / areas but dominating these requires actual skill, not established build which a child of 5yo can 1 button clear.

Duriel is fine per se.
What is not fine is Helltide and Whispers. But that is not a duriel problem, its a game problem.

Reason why people dont complain about boss mats in PoE is that what you need to do to get the mats is FUN and the actual endgame (maps/invitations). Helltide and whispers is not endgame, its just some side content, that dont give you anything besides those mats.

Today when farming duriel, i only had shards left.
Someone else in our party only had eggs.
I gave him all my shards and he did the summoning…
I hope you can see the dilemma here…

Thought I would get more support with this. Kinda sad.

Real simple fixes:

  • All content that currently drops Boss crafting materials will drop all Boss crafting materials, just in lower quantities. Current sources will yield the highest amount of materials.
  • Prohibit Trading of Materials unless you are Partied with and in the same area when the Materials drop initially. Leaving the group will remove the ability to trade these items at all.
  • Summonable Bosses are all Uber Bosses. All provide 925 ilvl items and increased Uber Unique Drop.
  • Uber Unique drop chances in Open World and dungeons have been increased. Every day you do not find a Uber Unique item, this chance goes up slightly. Once you find a Uber Unique, the chance resets.
  • Uber Unique items and Unique items can have Aspects Imprinted on them, however they receive a -50% penalty, unlike the Amulet which provides a +50% bonus. Unlike most items, Uber Unique and Unique items can have any Aspect class applied to them and are not restricted by the item slot.

This should be what supposed to be at the start of season 1.

However KNOWING THEM DEVS, they want to apply this PER SEASON (Just a hunch)
WHY? They need something “fresh” every season to have the players ENGAGE or waste time on their game.

Inshort, “lets release all of this mechanics one at a time and per season” xD

Probably by the end of season 20, we may have this kind of mechanic. hahaha…

This will kill party play; everyone will solo Duriel instead. Another way to prevent RMT is to make the boss mat’s account bound. You can’t trade legendary gears anyway.

Spreading the uber drops on different bosses is a good idea but the drop rates needs to be precisely low. Else they wouldn’t be called “uber”.
Most of your boss summoning mats or the spawn rates/location are also good but again, it seems more like chores than it already is to get to them. Farm x-materials to summon or y-scheduled to fight the bosses.

Would rather have a central town hub with different portals directly to the bosses instead and make them harder to fight.

I disagree. Much of my boss mats are things you get just playing the game like souls, veil crystals, ect. And yes droprate is low just like duriel but when you get an uber you know what it will be for most of them.
