Nerf Ready SB: Pit 95 without Viscous

Sharing my Pit 95 run with my alt Spiritborn without the known bugs (at least what I know of):

  • Viscous
  • Interdiction aspect
  • Redirected Force aspect
  • Necro alt resolve stacking
  • Barrier abuse

I enjoy running with this alt than my main SB because:

  • It’s NERF ready for S7
  • It’s not a copy-paste of whatever else build is out there
  • It’s closer in power with my alt Firebolt/Firewall Sorc which is stuck at Pit 86

Practically speaking, this SB should be around Pit 90s. I managed to get its glyphs to 100 because I was initially running this is as a copy of my main build for theory crafting. Maybe I could have chosen better glyphs but I don’t think any of those would allow me to hit past Pit 110 anyway.

If you’re used to the quadrillion damages from SB, this run is quite pitiful in comparison. I barely beat Pit 95, and I really thought I won’t make it.

So what you’re saying is without the bugs, they’re basically on par with the other classes? At least using this particular build you’ve chosen.

YEP. Sadly yes but also happy it is. I think my build and gear are decent enough so I think it’s a good estimate of its power without the bugs.

What I’m worried is with the current build, there might be bugs still that I am not aware of that it’s giving it more damage. So what I’m saying if there’s bug in this build, then I might not even be able to hit past Pit 90s.

Edit:
I feel the Fell aspect and Jaguar might have a bugged interaction because if you pair it with Viscous, it obliterates bosses in one hit. I’m using the Fell aspect here btw but without the Viscous, it feels normal

Aren’t you handicapping yourself further than would even be the case after the bug fixes?

If youre not using any of those things, what are you using instead? Aspect, glyph, what damage stats youre stacking etc.

This is my alt. So technically I didn’t handicapped myself because I got my primary build on my main.

But I get what you are saying. I had to find workarounds because the stuff that I think might be better for this build are bugged.

I shared what I was using in my build towards the end of the video. The build is based on my primary SB without the Viscous and aspects. I didn’t bother making a build planner because I don’t think anyone would be interested anyway.

I get the feeling people will find even more buggy interactions with items, paragon, skills, etc. as they fix other bugs. Similar to what we’ve been going through with every other class since launch. Not to mention they’ll add in another aspect, or tweak something that will just cause another bug to come out people will find which changes up the meta.

I forget what season it was, but the one where they introduced Dust Devil Barbs, and was more or less supposed to the build to go for Barbs that particular season, but another buggy interaction was found that completely dominated that season instead. Lightning Ball Sorcs comes to mind as well, among others.

We’ll see how it goes of course, but I get the feeling this will be an ongoing process just like it’s always been.
