I get most good drops are random but I started this seasonal character and am just about to max out paragon. I know it is not top level but I can run level 100 pits without dying. I try helltide, underworld, boss fights, etc. and I have yet to have 1 GA3 or 4 drop. I think maybe I have had 5 GA2’s drop for me. Am I just doing it wrong? Do I need to run much higher pit levels? I get they should be harder to get but I haven’t had any. Any advice on what to run or do to improve my odds? Getting frustrated that the random is really never…
Its just RNG, nothing more.
I would say if you are farming for gear pit is the absolute worst place to be. Seasonal areas, rot dungeons, IH. Just go where you find yourself seeing the most loot dropping.

Just kill things, this game is a slot machine, the shinies will start flowing and never stop

Unfortunately, this game doesn’t care much about solo self-found players, and it forces you to trade if you want to cover some slots with 3-4 GA items. Also, the market is busted, and gold is inflated to the max since RMT in this game has become like a village without a sheriff for top players. So, you either invest more hours and hope to win the RNG lottery, or you trade constantly for better gear (which can be more boring than actually playing).

Definitely not Infernal Hordes, Pits or NMD. Conveniently, the things that garner the least XP like Tides, Undercity with the appropriate Tribute and Whispers.
Really though unless you want to trade, it’s a losing battle and better to concentrate on single GAing the right affix and tempering/masterworking it the best you can.

The big chest from IHs has been somewhat kind to me dropping GA gear. Honestly just about any 2 or 3 GA piece thats dropped has had 1 or more stat that’s useless for me. It’s not just the super low RNG for a 2+ GA to drop, but then you have even less likely chance it will have a stat mix your build needs. Most players not cheating the system will be lucky each season to even obtain a good multi GA piece or two.

IH is better then a pit. Id imaging you could get enough in IH 4 wave. Quick fast and guaranteed a ga.

focus on doing the headhunt whispers that reward double caches during this Mother’s Blessing week. it will double your chances of getting better GA gear. I got my 3-GA amulet with useful passives today.

I would say pits are probably the worst place for gear.

Sometimes this is already a PITA too. I need two amulets - both GA int%, and one of the other two stats to be crit chance %. I have been farming on and off for weeks, and I can very consistently get Int% as a GA. I have yet to see a single one also roll any value of crit chance %. Which does not seem to be an uncommon stat otherwise.
Every now and then I’ll post in trade, today I actually got a bite, guy wouldn’t give me a price, so I offered. Never heard back. Idk maybe they had to log off and pee or whatever but if they thought I lowballed, just counter.
If you dont get mythics or other stuff you need. Make a thread in the forums, throw your voice at your personal RNGsus. Im 1001% sure next time you are farming bosses you will get at least 1 mythic item

Its all rng. Ive been playing since EA and there are mythics I still havent seen.In fact, I JUST looted my first grandfather from a boss this season(grimgoire if you are curious). Thats why they are called mythics. They are suppose to be rare.
