If you want to get players to use this weapon I suggest changing Army of the Dead. Have it empower all minion damage and attack speed and heavily nerf the volatile explosion damage. Alternatively, you could even use the “Grow” mechanic from season 7.
Furthermore, rework how the curse works on single target since no one wants to spam raise skeleton 20 times to get the bonus.

Yes, but like I said, they could also use GROW from season 7. Or really anything they choose that makes sense. Currently, it makes no sense to use AoTD for any minion-based build.
It’s probably a candidate for becoming a Legendary Power eventually.
Honestly, having just started S7 yesterday, There are a good number of things that would fit to carry on as Legendary Aspects. Especially since we haven’t had a season with new powers since what… S2? S3?
Honestly AotD is only weaker for minions builds because we have things like Bone Storm that just bump our stats up, and theirs by extension of that. It definitely need to provide something on its own, not through a power or Unique for it to be a fair consideration.
