I’m not sure what the Devs are thinking about after the awards… But if they want my honest feedback? They need to figure out a way to get the mythics and or sparks into the hands of the fans that have dropped a bunch of time into this game.
The way I see it…
Only two items in this game.
Mythics and Legendary****
Since you don’t want to drop Legendary**** very often let’s at least give out some mythics with 1GA*?
Why?
People get bored of this game without tht dopamine boost! If I no life a game for a week straight and have nothing to show for it not even a 1GA* mythic then what’s the point? I’m never gonna have enough mythics to justify scraping one for the other end game “crafting”. Think about this!
I honestly kind of have the opposite opinion… I have over 30 mythic items/sparks in s6 sitting in inventory and most of my many characters have 1-3 mythic items equipped. boss mats have never been easier to get and killing bosses is pretty easy even without primo gear.
I cannot finish any of my pit pushing sorc builds because I cannot get the legendary items with the GAs I need, and I cannot get max aspects, in spite of several hundred hours played.
I do have hope for S7. In PTR the ancestral drop rate was much better especially in seasonal content, and the aspect change… wow they gave us EXACTLY what we asked for… ancestral stat floor is now going to be non-ancestral cap
BS… the game bugged out on my Lilith kill, zero drops for my many summons boss attempts. The GM even verified I had been screwed. Just fix the game or give me the drops I earned. Simple. Zero to paragon 233 1 mythic…
Stack enough mats for at least 50 Duriel or Andariel runs. Yes, it takes time. Do Whispers, Helltides and run the Undercity for Boss mats.
When you have the mats, list a Party for the Boss runs asking others to bring mats. If they contribute to 50 more runs, you will get a Mythic.
I have something like 80 Mythics with 5 being 2GA. Previously in any other season I most I found was 34 and the least 12ish. If you aren’t pushing The Pit, they really make very little appreciable difference which is probably part of the problem. I mean, bis Rain of Arrows and most SB builds don’t even use any of them.
You guys talking about Seasonal mode? (eternal is super stingy compared to seasons)
Update: Just saw the news about the Goblin event starting tomorrow - says that you can earn Sparks . Hopefully I can get some on my eternal chars. Says you have to slay gobs in the millions for each tier. Is that a typo or will gobs be bursting out of every nook and cranny?
I suspect I play the game way more than most (retired and spend about 6 hours a day every day playing D4 and have since the release) and I have not seen a mythic drop since season 3. Yes, I am farming Duriel/Andariel. The fact that some seem to get quite a few mythics and others get none show that their RNG is screwed up.
They overcompensated per usual. I get so few even single GA Ancestrals from The Purveyor, The Mercenary thingy and Whispers that I find it almost painfully pointless.
Actually the whole drop rate of decent Ancestrals seems to have fallen off a cliff lately.
Maybe they’re planning a hero move for the goblin event and they get to try and say “look what we did for you?”
Geez, I mean I can’t even find a single GA Dex chest to spec out an alt. Don’t know what I’ll be doing in Season 7 but I do know that I won’t be again suckered into playing.
The bad news is they have said they aren’t planning on addressing this at all in S6. The good news is it was dramatically better on PTR and hopefully will be on S7 live
The general chance for an Ancestral item to drop has been increased.
The minimum roll for a Legendary affix on an Ancestral item is now equal to the max roll of a non-ancestral item.
