Mythic tribute of Armaments does not give Mythics since patch

I cannot try this much because I only have 2-3 but I get nothing since the patch.

It says chance, yes, but I always got at least one so far.

In season 13, there was a bug where that tribute always gave a mythic. That was fixed in season 14.

not sure if trolling

It wouldn’t be wise for me to troll.

Last season, there was a bug where that tribute had a 100% chance to drop a mythic. This this season, it was fixed which returned it to its original state: only a chance of dropping a mythic.

So sad, I still got no iconic Mythic and the seasonal ones are trash

Has always been just a ‘chance’. I have run probably 20 so far and gotten two mythics….so the rate was lowered dramatically. S14 is basically the mythic nerf for sure across the board. Crafted do not count as you can only use one.

Except for last season when the bug appeared. This gave new players the impression that every mythic trubute gave a mythic.

Still said ‘chance’ on the tribute though…even last season.

Right. But many don’t read labels. They just noticed that every trib gave a mythic.

There’s always a few people posting about how the upgrade to mythic changed the item despite it saying random in the recipe.

It’s really misleading because every chest has a chance of dropping a mythic. Why does this even exist?

I have a friend that did 18 of them on t12 with the goblin node average 2-4 chests per run and got ZERO. Let me repeat that so it sinks in. ZERO. COPE. RIP Blizz North

Correct. It’s quite rare. Always has been (when not bugged). I’ve gotten probably two or three from the tribute the whole time I’ve played the game.

Blizzard North hasn’t existed for decades.

I did about 15 of them so far. The only ‘mythic’ item I got in the entire run was a mythic tribute. Ironic. But, I don’t think the fact that it has flipped to very low rate is any more acceptable than the reverse at a 100% ratio. I get what the intent is, but it isn’t helpful when the experience feels exactly as bad as, or worse than, the normal drop rate.

I don’t disagree. But that would be something to post in General Discussion since it’s feedback/suggestion about how something should be changed.

I’m not convinced it isn’t otherwise a bug is what I am getting at. The drop rate is far too low to be normal. That’s why I commented as I did. I’m sure it isn’t supposed to be 100%, but I am also sure it shouldn’t be lower than a typical Greater Lair Boss. Otherwise, there is literally no point to the tribute.

While any of us can speculate if it should be lower or higher, the point is the behavior doesn’t make sense to us. Giving visibility to the developers via the community managers so they can determine if it is working less than intended is precisely the correct approach. They can address it in a patch, a hotfix, or a community-oriented developer video as they have taken and answered such issues in all three venues.

That’s how it’s always been. It’s point is that it has a drop chance, something the others don’t have.

Not making sense, just like bad luck, doesn’t constitute a bug.

If something isn’t bugged, it will be looked over here. And anything else accompanying a bug report is in vain.

All chests have a chance to drop mythics don’t they. How is it different? Are you saying mythics can’t ever drop without a mythic tribute? Saying it has a chance when all drops have a chance is not in any way describing how it works.

It wouldn’t be made the way it is if it worked any other way.

Again, take this to the GD forum if you want Bliz to ever hear you. If not, nothing has a chance of changing to how you want it.

The interesting bit of your commentary is you say you have no argument and then do exactly that. I can’t really take anything you say seriously when you speak in such a manner. Good day.

Edit: In addition to the post from yesterday saying they were looking at mythic drops, a new hotfix/game client update arrived today which allows one to equip multiple crafted mythics. It looks like they couldn’t find the cause - or they could and realized it would take a bigger fix - and allowed players to roll/gamble on horadric cube mythic upgrades. That, at least, helps a lot until they can fix whatever is causing the overall mythic drop issue. Making my original commentary in this thread valid: They would hotfix/patch to address the issue(s).

Never take the word of an MVP as proof of anything beyond popularity.

”Additionally, in a patch coming next week, we’re adding Superior Lair Keys to the Glints of Hope repeatable cache and increasing the Mythic Tribute drop rates in the Undercity.” It’s almost like the blues heard people and agreed this was a bug.

You weren’t focused any any of that, it was just the tribute. And having a drop rate increased doesn’t mean it was ever broken. Nothing of yours was validated here.

Correct. Take it as rational experience and understanding of the policies.

Not liking something doesn’t make it a bug, JustJ.
