Lol! I can see you’ve been stomped one too many times. But realistically, there isn’t another RPG where you have 75+ viable builds you can win with in PVP. It’s also extremely effective at rewarding fast reflexes and an effective sense of distance.
I guess, if you don’t like games that reward those things, you probably won’t like Souls PVP.

I was one of those. That game broke the camel’s back for me and apparantly when they “fixed” the game, I didn’t bother re-joining and ended up never trying the xpac.

PoE has a lot of flaws, but you’re right…it’s F2P and I don’t need to worry about buying expansions to fix a game I’m not having fun with.
Do I have buyers remorse? No, because I was always going to give D4 a proper try, and I have at least until the next expansion to decide whether it’ll actually ever be good.
If they don’t improve hitboxes (an issue I had in beta and am now seeing again vs Uber Lilith) I think it may already be over…but time will still be what tells.

The game will inevitably lose “tons” of BAIT players for sure. Just watch their official dev video on youtube called " in to the end game" u can hear stuff like " very deep end game with lots of social interactions and group play " … really ? where ? Then ppl wonder what mmoers and ppl from other genres got to play d4 … well it was almost advertised as half MMO! Hell i will go even further to say it feels like half mmo , u have open world , hell tides , world bosses, seeing other players and fight monsters and events with them in the open world , open world pvp … and so on. No matter what the hardcore ARPG fans say… this game is not PURE ARPG , in fact is half MMO ,but the problem is not that… the problem is that this game is NEITHER of the 2 . It feels as if they dont even know what to do with it because it is 2 fokin slow for pure arpg and seasonal content from solo player POV and in the same time … it LACKS so much to be an mmo! What bullsh*t is this that you have all stuff i mentioned above ,but u dont even have world or lfg chat … not tied to local 10 ppl ,but true chat where ppl can interact with each other , arrange trades or grouping for events and dungeons ? It is 2023 and not only missing a way to socialize in this “MULTIPLAYER” game ,but they are even ok that ppl resort to 3rd party solutions and web pages to be able to interact with each other. This is absolutely horrible social game design or should i say LACK of ANY social QOL features. I understand they cant add dungeon finder for 2 days in a hot fix , but how hard will be to put world channel for us ? THis isnt pure arpg and will never be… i already said why … so now when they put so many mmo things in this game is only right to give us a way to communicate and NO… consoles are not the reason we dont have such chat …they cant type in clan chats either so remove the clan chats then cuz controller players cant ? The game is clearly a hybrid and can be SICK GOOD ONE … they just need to add QOL features to support all multiplayer events and things they ALREADY build for us and in the same time it is also ARPG and have to speed the pace for the hardcore fans of the genre. Game is released theres no room for bs anymore , theres no way to get to pure arpg at this point or full mmo … cuz they will end up lied to even more ppl. This game just need some chat some group finder and some pvp boards and battlegrounds for the mmoers … and needs all the other things that misses to be very good as an arpg according to the fans of the genre. I am sorry for the ppl that are delusional and always comes and " boohoo this is ARPG go play wow / mmo " no my guys IT IS CLEARLY NOT ARPG in the sense u once knew ! This IS a hybrid and as such it misses so many basic and simple QOL features for both type of players that its mind blowing , like it isnt Blizzard’s game… even immortal have more intuitive QOL stuff …given its a dumb mobile cash grab. Absolutely gorgeous graphics , but thats it …this game now needs fast acting MIRACLE and it really needs it before season “389” when nobody will even care. Not even going to start on stash / tabs / inventory / gems / control options / mount maneuvering…/search fields for so many things including items and even players by their character name. Dont get me wrong i like the game and i have 2 chars already ,but i dont like to lie to myself and sugar coating stuff… they need to realize their product feels like nonsense and its missing very very simple things that neither genre can go without since 2010… and we are in 23 now. No excuses for one of the biggest companies with probably the most experience in the field of mmo and arpg. Yes ppl might come with all kind of crazy ideas and demands ,but we are not talking about this here… we talking BASIC, SIMPLE,QOL features and no game is released without in the last decade and now the most anticipated game in recent years lack them even thou some of those things are present in their previous games and even current mobile games cough “immortal” . Literally no excuses and certainly not the dumbest one i ever heard " but the game is new " , yes it is new… and u had all the experience in the world to not release it without stuff that even previous blizzard games had. Sorry that wall of text crits you ,but i held this frustration for very long now.

We discussed the same things over and over again. If you dont feel strong you havent fiddeled enough with what you got in this game. There are so many option to make a strong and powerful build. The controls are great, the slashing effects are powerful… etc…

I’m well aware of Diablo 4’s mishaps and hiccups. IE- multiple bugs and server issues, lack of communication when modifying or disabling parts of the game- aspects
People have the right to criticize the game they purchased.
It does get rather old seeing the same posts from different users every time I’m on the forums.
I didnt actually buy the game. I refused to buy another blizzard product but my friend picked it up for me because he wanted me to play with him.
He has had buyers remorse and I can only imagine how much it is having bought it twice.
We have both uninstalled for the time being hoping that season 1 fixes at least some of the issues but I doubt they will make NMDs fun by then. Likely the first expansion like D3.
