Watching any video on a spare monitor while playing is like begging for your whole computer to crash.
Has happened with Hulu, Prime Video , and even YouTube.
When it happens You MIGHT be able to get to the Task Manager and force stop Diablo but Alt+F4 will not do it. If you cant get the PC to show the task manager your only option is to hold the power or reset buttons.
