Moving dead HC chars to SC

Recently started playing HC end keep enjoying it a lot. The game works so much better on HC. Even trading is a lot nicer there. Only lost 3 chars so far.

Anyways. Simple Idea: what if a char that died on HC is, instead of being completely deleted, just moved to SC?

It would maintain (imo) the integrity of HC as the char is gone from HC, but it would still be playable on SC. So if you have a fully decked out mythic char, you could keep playing it, just now on SC.

I dont think this would be of much interest to truly HC-only players, but especially for newer players, the bar to enter / try out HC would be significantly lower.

My hope would be that this could make HC much more accessible and just a fun thing to try out for players that so far wouldnt have even considered playing HC.

I don’t like it for all the same reasons you mentioned. It reduces the risk, the stakes, and thus the experience.

This gets brought up now and then but I don’t think that the game needs a “medium-core”.

Also, yes, imo the HC mode is a much better, more fun experience where the game works as was designed/intended instead of the nonsense that goes on in SC.
