As Blizzard continues to fail this summer, do not take the option of Goblins during your infernal waves. I am not talking about Chaos goblins, just the normal Goblin has a chance to spawn during a normal wave…they do not drop Aether at all.

Mine always do so idk.
A bug with progress orbs being invisible in Tower and XP orbs from Helltide Wyrms happens to me sometimes. Maybe the goblin has invisible orbs?
While there is a bug report section, I can say that this is not a consistent bug. Some goblins had visible aether, some did not in my last few runs. I thought I’d just missed it as I am frequently zipping around the screen, but considering they were the only mob in the area I killed them and didn’t see aether… That made it fairly obvious.
That said, I don’t think it’s just goblins. Sometimes Aether Lords don’t drop anything visible either.
