Minions respawn on log in on 1 necro only

My first toon was a sorc, the 2nd a necro. I liked the sorc and made a 2nd one. After S4, I made another necro (and 2 more sorcs) and was surprised to find that the minions now were respawned when I logged in. What a neat QoL update, I thought; having to round up new minions every time I logged in was really annoying.

Then I happened to play my old necro and was disappointed to see that his minions weren’t respawning. I’d assumed the change was retroactive for older toons but I guess not.

So I just made a 3rd necro and his minions don’t respawn either. Now i’m really confused.

One other thing is that they added little red and yellow dots on the map to denote mobs. Any toons I created during S4 - 2nd necro and the 3rd and 4th sorcs - all have these dots but any toons prior to that don’t. The 3rd necro has the dots but, again, his minions don’t respawn.

Anyone have similar experience? Or a reasonable explanation? TIA

There is an in-game feature for Necro called Book of The Dead. Perhaps you have your minions set to be sacrificed on these characters that won’t respawn their minions? Just check that first, I’d say. Just my 2 cents, and hope it helps!

Thanks for the suggestion but neither of the two are set to Sacrifice in Book of the Dead. Weird.

Okay…I agree, that is extremely weird! Short of telling you to move this thread to the Bug report section of the forums (there’s one for PC and one for console), you could also try sending a support ticket into Blizzard. See what they say. Some might say it’s not worth it–but imo, you won’t know until you ask/try :smiley:
