I don’t understand how you haven’t realized in a year that prioritizing a target for minions should looks like this:
- nearest target (elite priority) attacked (or attacking) by player = boss >
- elites >
- white summoners >
- white mobs >
- white fleeing mobs
In almost every battle, I observe that minion prioritization works in the FULL opposite way.
I sincerely wish those responsible for the AI of minions to meet in the Infernal Hordes only shamans with their demons, which every second resurrect monsters, and your minions only do what they do and hit infinitely resurrected, even the active golem, which makes exactly one hit to shaman and emergency run away in the direction of resurrected monsters. It’s the same thing every time.
If you think the priority formula is working correctly, please add a button of priority target for minions, and track by your metrics how many times per minute players will use it

Best part is that aura minion that gives everyone big dmg reduction… They are invisible for minions. Without AOE golem, you are done
I play minion necro and I use my summon skeleton to summon the priest. Also my curse too. Either of those help you with prioritizing enemies.

I wouldn’t mind a little more control over minions, but they do need to wander a bit. As a full minion necro blood bishop would be impossible if they didn’t swap targets (even with an “attack this!” button it could get hairy.)
the devs are very busy destroying the game right now. but they hear you!
i hate the fact that just based on the Witch gameplay from PoE2, they have far better minions. like, not even close. D4 minions are dogwater in comparison. AND, (at least in the footage they showed us), you can kill an elite and use it! awesome, right?
can we not get something on THAT level, blizz? no? oh yea…you guys seem to be obsessed with 'WE WILL NEVER ALLOW MINONS TO BE CONTROLLED! EVER!" sentiment.
Watching the Poe2 witch video, made me wonder how any minion enthusiast could continue playing d4. Not going to lie, as someone who doesnt even really like pet builds in arpg, it looked complex and extremely fun/interactive
