Metacritic LOL Read these... lol

Nobody used it as a holy bible… just something I noticed… Relax there captain <3

Just crazy how it dropped. Significantly in the last 24 hours.

That’s what I thought.

Solid 3.8, not bad for a blizzard game.

Considering WoW has double that  …not bad at all!

From the link:

"Diablo 4, the much-anticipated sequel to a beloved franchise, promised a return to the dark and gritty world of demon-slaying and loot-hunting. However, beneath its flashy exterior lies a deeply flawed and unfulfilling experience that fails to deliver on its core promises. From broken loot distribution and crafting systems to irrelevant character stats, it’s clear that the developers’ primary objective is to hinder players’ sense of progression, achievement, and, most importantly, fun.

Loot distribution and the loot table in Diablo 4 are undoubtedly the Achilles’ heel of the game. Players have been voicing their frustration across the internet, with one user on Metacritic stating, “The loot in this game is an absolute mess. I’ve spent hours grinding for loot, only to receive mediocre gear that does nothing to improve my character. It feels like a slap in the face to invest so much time and effort for no meaningful reward.”

Moreover, the in-game crafting system is equally infuriating. The costs associated with crafting items are beyond reasonable, leaving players feeling like they’re constantly fighting an uphill battle for minimal gains. Another disappointed player wrote, “Crafting is an absolute joke. The materials required are absurdly expensive, and the chances of getting something valuable are almost nonexistent. It’s as if the developers want to punish us for trying to improve our gear.”

One of the cornerstones of any ARPG is character progression and stats, but Diablo 4 manages to fumble this aspect spectacularly. Players have noticed that core character stats are broken, rendering certain builds useless or overpowered. As one disgruntled gamer put it, “It feels like the developers didn’t even playtest the game. Some stats are so broken that they completely trivialize content, while others seem to have no effect at all. It’s disheartening to see such a lack of balance and attention to detail.”

Resistance defenses, a critical aspect of character survivability, are particularly baffling in Diablo 4. Multiple players have reported that resistance stats seem to have little to no relevance in actual combat scenarios. One player’s harsh review reads, “Why even bother with resistance stats when they don’t seem to protect you from anything? It’s infuriating to invest in a supposed defense mechanism only to be killed just as easily as if you hadn’t bothered at all.”

Even the most recent patch for Diablo 4 has done little to address these fundamental issues. Instead of improving the overall experience, it seems the developers are more concerned with putting up barriers and roadblocks to hinder player progress and enjoyment. The general sentiment among players is that the developers are out of touch with the community’s needs and desires, making the game feel like a chore rather than an enjoyable experience.

In conclusion, Diablo 4’s problems run deep, and it’s difficult to overlook the broken loot distribution, the expensive and unrewarding crafting system, and the lack of relevance in core character stats. The developers’ lack of focus on player enjoyment and progression is evident in the most recent patch, solidifying the sense that their main objective is to hinder players rather than create an engaging and rewarding experience. As a fan of the franchise, it’s disheartening to witness the decline of a once-great series. Let’s hope the developers take these criticisms to heart and work to salvage the essence of what made Diablo so beloved in the first place"

Another gem:

"The game does not meet the expectations set forth by the advertised features and overall gaming experience. After spending considerable time playing the game, I have come to the conclusion that it fails to deliver on multiple fronts, including the core gameplay mechanics, balance system, patches, and endgame content.

Diablo 4 does not match the product that was initially advertised. The promotional material showcased a thrilling and immersive gaming experience with a rich storyline and engaging gameplay. However, upon playing the game, it became evident that the actual product falls short of these claims. The promised features, such as a seamless balance system and compelling endgame content, are lacking and do not align with the marketed promises.

The balance system in Diablo 4 is highly flawed. The game fails to achieve a fair and enjoyable experience for players due to imbalanced character classes, underpowered or overpowered abilities, and an overall lack of attention to detail in terms of game mechanics. This imbalance not only disrupts the gameplay flow but also undermines the sense of fairness and competitiveness that players expect.

The patches released for Diablo 4 have been subpar and insufficient in addressing the game’s issues. Despite the community’s consistent feedback and bug reports, the updates have failed to address critical bugs, improve gameplay performance, and deliver substantial content updates. This lack of effective patching shows a disregard for the players’ investment in the game and undermines the overall experience.

The endgame content in Diablo 4 is severely lacking and fails to provide a satisfying and fulfilling experience. The advertised promise of a robust endgame with engaging activities and rewarding challenges has not been met. The limited options for progression, lack of variety in activities, and absence of substantial rewards make the endgame feel shallow and unrewarding, leaving players with a sense of disappointment and frustration.

Considering these significant discrepancies between the advertised features and the actual gameplay experience, I kindly request others to not play this game"

Diablo 3 is cruising higher than it…

Who would’ve thought.

Care to explain why tears of the kingdom has user score of 8.6?

Using your logic it should also have a low score like D4 does. Why is there a difference?

Could it be because the player base for tears of the kingdom actually likes the game and the ones for D4 don’t?

how do you think any survey in the world works? they never take the entire population. The index of this note represents well what I read on this forum acruellement. The disappointment, the craze for the game is dead for a good part of the player. The objective of the Nightmare lvl 100 dungeon or killing Lilith is dead to many. Personally I’m lvl 100 and I had trouble getting past 54 dungeons, now the project is just dead for me and I’m probably not the only one who thinks like that.

Well you have to own the game to use this forum, and it has probably the same or worse user score on here

because it’s got a lot of folks giving it 10s because it’s zelda and it didn’t do too much to trigger any community prone to review bombing

and metacritic has actually been pretty active in deleting fake reviews for that title

probably! but then you remember that maybe .01% of the overall playerbase posts in these forums and then you get a bit embarrassed by thinking they’re meaningfully representative of the overall playerbase.

Someone is in denial
