Nah I can reliably farm T12 Mephisto and he’s just overtuned. He’s full of one shots and the jump in HP per Torment is way too severe for no reason. If you don’t have some way to reliably get immunities on yourself or use something that makes damage into a DoT you’re just going to get one shot by a tiny red orb you can barely even see.
Echo bosses in general just aren’t fun and Mephisto needs to have his HP toned down.

And then you have no damage lol. Like I said I can farm T12 Mephisto easily now, but no, investing into more defense is not the play. You want like 1-2 defensive aspects at most and you don’t want to sacrifice damage for things like Max hp.
Then you choosed be one shoted .IT Is your choise .
Like Lillith - I try, I die…maybe next season. I enjoy most of the game, but this is STUPID!!! Just like Lilith, you would think the id10t’s at Blizzard would learn and want to improve the game where people enjoyed it (ok I just woke up, it was a dream). If people want to spend HOURS learning 1 boss’ mechanics let T11 and T12 be that much harder.
Unfortunately, it seems like Blizzard wants as much negative press as possible, every time people enjoy something they do a rewrite and bring back what people did not like from past iterations and take out what people liked. We HATED Lilith and the 99 different possible 1 shot mechanics, we fixed that - let’s make another because people hated it…
I guess they made their money and just go to bed laughing at people thinking the game was made for enjoyment, not their profit.

Don’t give up - I finally beat Mephisto last night and I’ve been trying for about 2 weeks. Using the same character (necro summoner) same gear.. the only thing I changed was my unique charm, I took out Red Blessing and used Penitent Greaves and BOOM! Mephisto was done.
Still, don’t know why I was able to beat him last night when I’d failed multiple times in the past. It couldn’t just be the changing of the charm that did it.. I did nothing mechanically different, ran around, dodging attacks, get in position then attack.. whatever it was, it worked last night for me and it’s done.

IT Is better for them cry here And give up then use this Time to farm better gear And be better .nobody can help then in this case
Not the burn you think it is. I am beyond him now. Did a bunch of research and meta slaving was the answer. I just had to face the fact that there are only like 1-2 viable endgame builds per class. Actually quite lame.

If you’re playing SSF then being carried is not an option. The fight can be as difficult as anything but something so far up the scale shouldn’t be the gate to completing season, in my opinion. Let it be stand alone or tied to some special reward outside of season.

That is my main complaint at this point. It wasn’t that there are endgame things not everyone is going to be able to reasonably complete with time more investment. It was more that from one checkpoint to the next was fairly linear until that. The jump was wholly unreasonable. It should have been more of a completionist thing than a gate to even get to the those challenges.

If you can clear t12 you can clear mephisto. get endurant faith. Drops off grigoire. T12 mephisto is fairly hard after nerfs to barb and sorceror but not necessary for SJ
Killing boss with 1 millions click on your mouse is VERY TOO CRAZY, I try it once and go see video about this fight and it a non merci pour moi (No thanks for me.)

I feel like most people are like me and cleared the hurdle with cheese endurant faith and busted builds. You only have to kill him once for the rewards and can go back to playing the build/class you actually want to play.
I don’t know how I’m going to be able to clear it next season in a timely manner with a lot of the nerfs.

Great took me all day today to finally get Lilith down now I’m hamstrung by Mephisto. Man you people are absolutely trying to destroy this game. Why the hell do you keep pigeon holing people’s season by throwing 2 level higher content to gate. If that’s all you got hire new devs!

Mephisto is not about being good, it’s just about out gearing it. I learned last season to just ignore it until I’m melting stuff on t12, then you can go back and melt him on T10 and ignore the 1 shot nonsense.
Honestly I think most bosses in this game are dumb.

T12 Mephisto is a $hit fight. You need top tier items and top single dps build . It’s a $hit fight it doesn’t belong in Diablo because the one shot mechanics. Not only you need top dps but you also need to dance around to avoid the one shot kills. Everyone that worked on that fight except the graphics should be fired. Blizzard talent is gone , the company got too big and they had to hire idiots. I’ll never spend another dime on Blizzard products; ever.

Really? Who would have thought the hardest boss on the most difficult tier would require good gear and skill? Someone should get fired for this, lol. Who gets this upset over something completely predictable and reasonable?

Mephisto should be in the last tier of the season journey, not keeping you from it.
