Maxroll predicts SB to fall below Necro in power after bug fixes

Don’t cut yourself on that edge.

Not wrong.

The class has multiple bugs.

Issue is, if people know the only reason the class is super strong is because of bugs, they may not want to play one at all, even right now. If they felt it were strong on legitimate merits of the class, they’d potentially feel better about forking out cash to play it.

The primary Sporn build using overpower is abusing the Viscous Shield bug and the fact that block chance can currently go higher than 100% (which has to be a bug).

Even if they were doing such overnerf (even if it’s bugfix) I’m against it as a necro player. SB should remain the strongest, but not to such degree. Top necros do pit 118 already, top SB should be doing 2-3 more than necro.

Fix the bugs, if SB falls too low - give him something to make up for it. And do something with minion necro ffs, because spirit wave necro can do pits 90+ while pressing two buttons and minion necro has to play friggin piano while also trying to somehow contain bad minion AI. Minion necro is literally frying brain to play optimally and is not even strong enough to be worth it.

Every skill, on every class, should be able to reach the same power level and capability with proper full investment.

The disparity and imbalance is ludacris.

To be honest it kinda pissess me off that Spirit Wave build for necro is also based on the bug because Blood Artisan’s Cuirass is scaling with max HP despite description. So either description is bugged or it doesn’t work as it should.

That being said I would rather want them to just fix the description, because necro build that scales damage with HP seems to be quite fitting. I think that it would be nice if minions also scaled with necro HP as class mechanics in general. It’s kind of blood mage, so scaling his power with vitality seems fair.

Honestly necro should have HP bar as resource.

Sure, if you believed they were bugs in the first place. Its better for them to say its a bug than admit they dont know how to balance classes properly or even worse, care to.

Minion Necro is pretty badass.

Yes and no. It has incredible potential and is fun as hell to play - until you go into higher pit and face the ridiculous APM that you need to pull off while also checking on your minions that are really stupid and refuse to hit priority targets. More advanced necro players claim it’s the most demanding necro build despite not being the strongest.

It just has issues like:

  1. Not being able to manually point minion’s target
  2. Mobs can kill minions + you start without them after you die (and you need bodies to create them), it may result with end of a run on horde or pit for example
  3. Way too many buffs that he needs to take care about to keep damage going
  4. Needs a lot of aspects, some of them could be merged into one to leave some space to breathe

Instead of taking care of like 4-5 buffs at the same time I would rather remove some of them, buff the minions if needed and give ability to actually give orders. This way minion necro would be more like undead commander rather than minion buff-bot hoping that minions will not do stupid things.

Hope so. Blizz is in dire need of a wakeup call. Imo.

Show me this 150 pit Necro lol.

Current max pit necro is 118, and maybe they will push to 120, but probably not much more. Also we need to distinguish pit-pushing builds from actually playable builds. Necro can have pit-pushing build that indeed is able to push pit very high, BUT if you go with him to undercity or horde - it will totally suck to play as entirety of this build is an overkill 100 times over and also micro-heavy.

Fully playable and enjoyable in normal content is Spirit Wave build that has record of 111.

Meanwhile Spiritborns literally move at lightspeed while completely evaporating everything to the point where nothing on their path can even test their survivability, so they pretty much have no flaws. High pushing necro builds may have flaw that they suck to play in normal content as they are specifically min-maxed to do one thing. Spiritborn doesn’t have to sacrifice anything, all and everything in single build that is meta for speedfarming, pit pushing, mobility, survivability (based on damage that doesn’t even allow bosses to do anything), everything at once and 100 000 times stronger than anything else.

I would even understand if they had ridiculous damage even compared to most heavy hitting necros - if they were also total glass cannons where single mistake results with death. Necro just facetanks boss mechanics because some of it’s builds are nearly immortal, but they pay for that with their terrible mobility.

I hope sorc hydras are OP next season.

They should buff other classes to match SB, not nerf SB.

Yup I know Necro top pit so far is 118 was just wondering where the OP got they can do 150 this season. It’s funny that SB obliterates bosses now while I remember how tedious getting my 150 achievement was last season. 5 min clear on trash then hoping to get a boss you can beat. If you see mother’s guardian or blood bishop I instantly left at 145+ lmao.

Or SB could have their bugs fixed so they’re at their intended power level instead of their currently absurd power level. No one was meant to clear Pit 150, anything beyond 100 was an aspiration for people who wanted to push their characters to the max. By that same logic T4 wasn’t meant to be for everyone, which is why they made all drops available on T1.

All you’re suggesting is that the rest of the kids get to bring their crayons to the big kids’ table where the current big kids are eating the crayons.

All those previous meta can be mathematically proven as bugs.
The same goes for every SB’s builds this season.

the people who twist:

Into “they send poisonous plants to people” - honestly are exactly the kind of customers why such warnings exists.

Dont eat Tidepods.

Yeah because every class doing quadrillions of damage would be super healthy for the game right?

It was the front page where it said “send a free, real, toxic bouquet.” Not the disclaimer.

When it takes that to get your glyphs maxed to 100, yes it would be.
