Also keep in mind that those rolls never roll max on non-ancestral items. For example Aspect of the moonrise can go to 100%. But if you get a maxed roll on a non-ancestral, then it will only be 80%. Which might also explain why some of your salvaged aspects dont go up. They were probably on non-ancestral items.
I know, yet same item quality had different ranges. I think it was odd or simply due their big patch notes some spaguetti code leftover was in place. I usually keep several tabs on the storage. I started noticing those weirdness when I gone sort it out to see what kind of attributes they had and some thinkering for my build.
There’s something wrong with their internal system. Max values and lower values are behaving weirdly sometimes. Even the act of breaking stuff is not working exactly well either.
Moonrise I got one with 100% and one at 115%. Both I broke, my current is 76%. I know what you’re trying to explain, but breaking aspects aren’t working as intented.
Similarly to redirected who I got maxed one and broke. While my current one is about 82~87%.
I know that exist differences on ga and non ga, but there’s something in between behaving oddly.
a lot of the item economy is badly balanced. just look how often they have to buff crafting materials. ancestrals could easily need a double drop rate or even more. max aspects would still be difficult to get.

The fact is that we have little ancestral drops and they still come with basic aspects rolls from non-ancestrals, which makes maximizing them even more difficult.

The last 5 levels on the aspects are almost impossible to find. If those are only going to findable on ancestral legendaries, they should only roll in that upper range. Far too many times I find an ancestral and the aspect is a min roll.

Maybe the aspect you found was from an amulet (150% of the aspect’s power) or a 2H weapon (200% of the aspect’s power)

In fact, I’m sure that’s why your max is at 76%

Yup, still sitting at 5/12, 16/21 for almost all of my aspects. Dont think i even have 1 maxed yet. im at 178 paragon…
That’s the thing, wasn’t. Even on cases like this, my affix on ring was already 76% prior to the icon on both items the 100% one(glove) and 115%( ring with bad stats). Both showed the icon. Just didn’t added the recipe on aspect list.
Guess you’re talking about seasonal realm, because in eternal 5B for a maxroll 21 aspect would be dirt cheap considering the whole S6 situation
2 and 3 GA items should have 19/20 and 20/20 aspects 100% of the time. That would fix this issue

That does not actually solve the problem, it actually created a Catch-22, because GA items are the least likely to be salvaged.

That would make them valuable. Most of the 2 ga items i have sport stats i dont want. I salvage them anyways lol
Yet I still salvage them like candy, even if it was for a slot that I didn’t have a GA item.
I’ve gone through two seasons without getting the highest Metamorphosis aspect. Indeed, I think I ended last season about two thirds of the way to the end.
If they want to keep it as a range, it should start at the highest non-ancestral roll.
Example:
Moonrise: 40-80%
Ancestral: 80-100%

I had a very horrible experience on this. I sold a pant with ga max life 200m and the guy told me after trade “haha you stupid, I will now sell this perfect aspect 9b”…
Damn, how would I know they perfect aspects are a thing and this expensive? I quited game sadly. Losing that much gold without knowing the aspects are bound to some specific item group is just wrong.

Maxed out… the attack aspects, I don’t even have single one in the ancestral roll range. I am paragon 230 but I didn’t participate in the undercity exploit (my fault?).
I’m missing 48%x due to non-existent max roll aspects. Frustrating.
