Will Abattoir of Zir come back as an improved Greater Rift ?
Do you plan to increase all classes movement speed to match the sorcerer “infinite” teleport speed or is it intended that he is the fastest class by far ?
For example could we have a faster whirlwind so that we can continuously keep WW without feeling slow ?

Why game is desinged in the way that give group 4x more loot from bosses? Solo players consider it as a unfair adventage.

Thank you all for creating this chat Q&A and for doing the chats.

Obviously, itemization and major changes are a big focus for S4 and this chat. However, I’m curious about the transmog and customization systems and if they will see any changes or new features.

Will the transmog and customization systems get any new features?

Such as:

  • New transmog color options like solid colors and finishes like gold, silver, tarnished, worn, burnt and dirty.

  • A custom color option with a color wheel or slider to create custom colors for each item.

  • More ways to earn unique transmog items from normal playing like the current mount items,

  • Add new seasonal themed transmog items each season that can be unlocked when they are scraped like the original items.

  • Add some new faces and hairstyles

  • Add an in-depth seasonal character challenge system similar to how we currently earn titles but for earning seasonal themed trasnmog items.

  • Is there a plan to fix the Boneweave, Sovereign and Archon armor that all look identical? Each set should have its own unique look and style instead of three sets that look identical on the Sorc.

I am excited for the changes to itemization, but creating characters each season with the exact same options and no new transmog or customization features is rather boring. Hopefully there are change planned.

When in Diablo 4 there will be Great Portals like Diablo 3, where the competition will be real and fair, and players will rely on the strength of the build, and not other annoying factors like time or negative effects.
Perhaps this is already in the plans?

since it leads to a ton of forum discussions regularly - Any ideas on how to tackle Uber duriel material farming?

Personally by now id say drop the uber drop chances to like 0.2%, and remove the summon materials entirely.

Will there be any expansion of character slots soon?

The devs have mentioned that the new loot/itemization system will feel more like a journey, instead of just the boring loop of loot, dismantle, pray for a 3/4 drop, reroll, repeat.

  1. How do the devs plan on making items feel like a journey? If this question is already answered during the bulk of the stream… then my follow up would be… and maybe more importantly…

  2. Are there plans to make white and blue items useful in a fun and imaginative way?

  3. Will items have more meaningful and impactful Implicits, prefixes and suffixes?

With rare items having 2 affixes, legendary having 3 affixes, will a RANDOM affix be added when you add a legendary power to a rare item?

Will Codex of Power reset in seasons (for seasonal play), or be globally unlocked forever?

Is there any chance we could get a quick button to teleport to the tree of whispers?

Question: What plans are there to improve monster assets? Currently, there are many human and animal assets reused in several zones. Some acts are quite bland. Demon variety is lacking Other Diablo games worked on this in later patches. How about this one?

Can you please expand more on the RNG side on both new crafting systems. It seems like a very bad feeling rng system where you can ruin a great item with tempering. Or you can end up in an eternal upgrade loop with masterworking. Can’t we just have guaranteed crafting upgrades but with bigger material grinds?

Can you please talk about vulnerability. At its current state it seems too good and a must have on every item. What will you do to make other stats appealing

1.) Are there any plans to add additional skills to classes in the future? ie at some point can necros expect to have access to old skills like Poison Nova?

Edit and more burning of a question: 2.) Are there any plans to reimplement the tab overlay from previous diablo games will be implemented instead of opening the map

Edit 3.) Will there be more ways to get platinum currency for use in the store aside from bp?

Edit 4.) On the mention of aspect being partition wide, will it be held through seasons or will it be locked to eternal realm once the season ends and you’ll have to farm it again next season?

Have you considered adding the Butcher into Helltide scenarios?

  1. Can we get a hotkey to port us to Tree of Whispers?

Q: What happens to old items?

A: They will be flagged as Legacy items. No changes to them. They work just like they do now. However, they won’t interact with the new systems like Tempering and Masterwork.

Will we get new leader boards?

Don’t you think that by reducing the number of affix in rare items to 2 make theam useless in lategame?

So my main question now is will The Pit have leaderboards attached to it?

It may seem a little out of place, but are there any plans to improve the quest journal in the future?
So you can easily keep track of side quests and dungeons already completed, and missing, in a simple and intuitive log, so as to make the renown for secondary characters more convenient and less confusing.

Isn’t that exactly what was asked for?
Less item checking - more monster slaying.
For me this is one of the best changes.

Can you guys add an npc (or maybe add it to the blacksmith) so we can convert legacy items to new ones so that we can use temper and masterwork? The npc will basically allow us to remove 1 affix to convert it to a new item that will make it eligible for the new updates. This way we can balance the available gears and the legacy items won’t be so weak against the new ones. Plus, all the efforts and time spent from S1 to S3 won’t be wasted. Thanks!
