I initially tried this with Meteor but the time it takes to land the first Meteor really eats into the Inferno duration. You really want to crit kill a mob ASAP so that you get the big attack speed buff and start rapid firing and Meteor just felt a bit slow in that regard. Though I never did try the “faster landing” mod for Meteor that might solve that problem, it’s just really hard to choose that over the immobalize mod.
I imagine it’s hard to beat the meta builds, I could see Ice Shard builds still being king. This might be more like “a really fun build you can use up to a certain point”. I do know that it can down elite packs when you’re doing content well above your level. I went into the T3 capstone at level 59 (so enemies at lv70) and I was easily blowing up elite packs well within Inferno’s duration. But people trying to do t100 NM dungeons will be fighting mobs more than 10 levels above them and the dynamic changes I’m sure. I’ll keep using this build until I hit a wall, though- it’s just really fun when you hit the combo and turn into a fireball machine gun turret.
