Lvl 160+ is enough to quit the game

Is it me, or is the content passed lvl 160 enemies getting ridiculously long!?

I’m getting discouraged trying to balance damage and survival in order to beat these PARAMOUNT HEALTH POINTS in a faster time.

If im hitting 2 million per second, yet it takes me 30 minutes ( or longer) to win, these Bosses have 3,600,000,000,000 hp! Like WTF is this?! I’m losing my tolerance and about to uninstall despite having bought the expansion.

The only thing that makes sense of this lame-ness? Is the game owners and devs don’t care about paying gamers, and always nerfing the fun out of the game.

Like level 160 or pit 160?
Because level 160 genuinely shouldnt be anywhere near 30 minutes.

I cant speak to pit 160. Im half that.

Sorry, I meant lvl 160 enemies and higher.

My Sorc FO still can’t get past Pit 135 because of the final boss.

The difficulty of the pit content is mainly focused on the final boss. They already have a one-shot mechanism and have such a terrible amount of health, it’s unreasonable.

Why torture the player with a boss with such amount of health like that? :grimacing:

Why wouldnt you expect things to get harder the higher you go? Seems like your expectations are out of whack.

Increasing difficulty doesn’t mean make the fights longer, it means create the fights to require more skill.

Example of Difficulty: Boss started with 1 HP, but i needed to do XYZ just to shut off his immunity.

Example of Annoyance: Reduce player damage, reduce player defense, increase enemy damage, Skyrocket enemy HP, increase enemy defense.

Annoyance is not difficulty, its annoyingly UNFAIR.

Unfair, lol? How is it unfair? Good lord. Of course the stats will go up for each level. Come on now. Why do people whine over things that are completely obvious in a video game?

This is actually why the stats squish is happening, the numbers have gotten insane again.

Subdriver, youre a douchepotato.

Exponentially increasing pit boss health sucks. We all know it sucks. We’re all successfully defeating the bosses. Youre just sitting here telling us we’re lame because we’re saying its not fun.

Its not fun. Thats why theyre changing it next season. You douchepotato.

160 is T6 I believe. That should not be that hard. You must not have an optimal build or you put way too much in defense. Are you playing HC? Or are you maybe playing an unusual build, not one of the top ones?

Are you ok? Someone got butt-hurt real quick :joy::rofl:

Diablo is a game without skill buttons. Seriously, there’s no dodge you can press to get out of a hit. There’s no block timing. There’s little “skill” involved, as all the computations are done based on your gear.

The game is, was, always will be a stat/gear check. And that’s fine, because it’s not Dark Souls or Elden Ring - you can’t kill the final boss completely naked via skill. Just don’t ascribe skill to D4, especially when drops are RNG based.

i just tried T6 and T7, 20 and 30 seconds respectively on the council bosses.
i think my frozen orb lightning spear also hitting like 1-2mil for the lower bound damage, but not sure if the damage from the splintering aspect is showing or not. maybe you need to review you paragon arrangement and test out if the aspect got high chances to trigger or not.

You guys all fell for the trap ok… The Pit was never designed with the intention of us beating it. I will stand firm on these next words, and the current state of the Pit is evident to these words.

The Pit was there to find the over performing builds, all the crying on the forums about the “billions” this, “one shot” that… And find the reasons why it’s performing that way, and balance them out.

You guys call it “nerf”. I call it “balance that needed to happen”.

People were pretty close in season 4, what maybe 170 something? But if u notice now, people struggle to get past 120-135, and that’s definitely by design. They have been using this data to balance the game out.

So really, I’d just stop pushing, stop caring, it’s not meant to be obtainable, and it never was, despite the achievements that were probably fake to begin with.

We can see upcoming the Pit will max out at 100…
Guess we’ll see how much balancing the Spiritborn is gonna have to go through. I’m assuming it’s gonna be absolutely bonkers and we gonna ride the balance train for another 4 seasons

Absolutely. 100% agree to the OP.
Dmg/Life-Scaling of enemies past 160 is so much out of order.
I hope that patch 2.0 / voh will fix especially the boss life (pit/horde)
so we can just have fun farming things and not being forced in doing 10 minute bossfights.

No it’s not.

It’s so in the example given, the player might do a more relatable 2000 dps, but that boss would still have 3,600,000,000 hp.

The squish is only so the numbers we see are easier to wrap our heads around (and possibly to keep them within variable limits as power creep will continue.)

Balancing enemy to player stats is a completely seperate issue.

That assumption defies logic.

I agree with OP, just tried Tier 7 IH, got to the last council member and was one shot. I made it through the horde levels without dying, but just gave up after that 7 plus minute council fight. I can do pit 85 and the tormented bosses ( not Lilith yet). I just feel like I’ve hit a wall, grinding for tier 3 master working mats at about 35 per pit run gets boring real fast.
