Seasons just give a slightly different twist to the normal playing experience. This time you get to play with some vamp powers, which give a fair chunk of char power in addition lol
You will most likely miss those tiny benefits when the season ends though. So in some sense, you are still “losing” the char, cause it’s on eternal realm with the others and during the next season, you would have to start over again with a different twist.
But the chars still stay for the “vanilla” play experience on eternal 
Things you find during the season will be transferred to the eternal realm too. So if you get lucky and find an Uber on your season char, you can still play with it after the season ends on eternal with it and move it to your old chars too.
Good games solve this by allowing you to filter your loot (poe and last epoch) - it has become a staple and expected feature.
Yep, I want to exchange money for entertainment. That is the transaction of D4. 100% I am with the OP on this one. Thats 2 against 1 on what the popular opinion on what the game should be.
You only have a limited number of deaths soo you cant really have a lot of dying.
To be fair I think upgrades do drop I just CBF looking at them. The game has made it so tedious to locate what is an upgrade it desensitises you to even picking up drops because your inventory is small and the process of comparing and identifying stats is purely analytical (which automation does for us these days).
I am lazy, I want a better itemisation system. Loot 2.0 D3 style not this junk D2 loot style that is 20 years out of date to what gamers want.
FFS blizzard get over your stubbornness if people want D2 they will go play D2.
Run through the vamptide and open chests. When you’re farming helltide stop running event to event on your mount if that is how you play the content. Run through on foot and actually kill stuff.

You basically cant get a better weapon unless you are doing world boss and boss runs.
Its so hard to get a 3/4 roll with decent rolls in each on nearly anything. You will hit so many 2/4 rolls or 3/4 rolls but 1 or 2 bad rolls in the range ruins it like a resource gen 5% or lowball crit chance.
Its next to impossible to get a good amulet. You can easily be using a sacred one for half the season.
Farming the blood harvest can get your decent armor/rings and lots of aspects if you do it enough.
Dungeons will be better when they are fixed and drop the correct ranges of items I hear.
Duriel is just the best for everything. They made this too good as you get ubers, the best gear, the best weapons, ect. You find a good one here and you are done as its now Best In Slot with 925 power.
Dont forget to check shopkeepers. I got a 4/4 god tier amulet on one for season 1. They also sell items with higher power than normal sometimes.
lol yeah keep grinding thats what I told myself after my 9th day of mainly doing public events and funneling every single obol into rings for recharging aspect but got 0. blizzard has 0 respect for your time and dont give 2 sh/ts about you

Her drops are terrible. Outside of the horse and achievement, there is no reason to farm her.
WB, new bosses, absolutely, but UL? Nope.

It’s how games with bad loot work.
I don’t know what his reason is but eternal mode is harder and more challenging with less drops and much less powercreep that it is in seasons (that makes it both more interesting and more longterm). I’ve been playing seasons but I see the appeal and might go back to eternal for a while.
This sounds crazy but CHECK THE NPC MERCHANTS! Sometimes they have crazy GG yellows. Amulets especially.
Yep seasonal realm is for players that want to cheese / cheat content. Eternal is where the real challenge is at. Content on eternal is way more difficult without the cheese factor.
But take heart , they will change everything again after Season2 , and all your hard work will be flushed again. This is the way… 
The powercreep mainly comes from the season mechanic though.
The urn buffs are marginal though. The main difference is probably leveling speed and more people around to do things compared to eternal
Nope , its survive-ability , plain and simple.
Farm higher Item level items from bosses or from World bosses. Not NMs. Also whats your glyphs like? I feel like leveling glyphs pushes you way more through the tiers up to the high 80s than gear does. The power you get from glyphs cant be overstated. Once you get to high 80’s that when you realize you now need all new gear with only DR on it (thats where I am at)
Having a build that is woefully underpowered I have quickly realized that killing something so it cant attack you is effective damage mitigation. Mitigation that I dont have…
I go back to eternal when I finish my seasonal character.
I don’t plan to play more than one character in any season. I made an exception this season because the new Tal Rasha Everything Bagel build I made is fun. No it is not BL.
So when this season is over I will have 2 lvl 100 Sorcs…not sure where I will put their stuff.
Eternal has lots of players this idea that it is empty is just wrong.
And there is no leveling speed there as everyone is eventually 100. Most people who play there, unless new are not leveling new characters, they just change their existing ones and play on with them.
You gotta just smash nm 50 and sort through the gear.
Getting 2 major affixes with 2 mid/low tier affixes can take you to nm 80.
Theres not a lot of affixes that are mandatory. Its mostly just DR, amulet affixes and hp (if your sorc)
the new endgame seem to be mats farming to kill duriel and kill world boss. ilvl900+ doesnt drop that often so just grinding NMD and helltide/blood harvest wont give you much gear upgrade if you already have 850-900 gear. uber boss and world boss seem like the only way to get the top end gear for now.
Thats how ARPGs work…Or do you think that it will be more fun when you have an full equiped character within 1-2 weeks and nothing to do after that?
But if you have problems finding stuff for your build: Simply check out all the other meta builds of your class and the item stats they require, sell them to others for million of gold and use that gold to buy BIS gear for your build…a tactic that works since over 2 decades in ARPGs.
