Looking for some high end damage help - Pit 150 push

I’m trying to push tier 150 Pit for the achievement and I’m currently stuck at tier 147. My damage just isn’t high enough to kill the boss before the timer runs out.

I see screenshots of people’s poison ticking for 20-40 billion, and I’m not quite sure how they’re achieving that. The numbers are difficult to see, but I think the highest poison tick I’ve seen on Pit bosses is around 12 billion during stagger.

My gear is very good. I’ve exceeded both the lucky hit and attack speed caps. I’ve got emeralds in all my armor slots and DEX greater affixes pretty much everywhere. Currently sit around 2800 DEX. I’ve got very high rolls on damage per dark shroud shadow tempers with 2-3 masterwork crits in every available slot.

I’ve dropped Tyrael’s Might for a legendary chest and am using Tibault’s Will to push damage higher. Ring of Starless Skies + Fist of Fate with triple master work crits on LHC. I’ve tried both Inner Calm and Conceited on amulet for more boss damage, since I do not need High Velocity boost on amulet (9 ranks of Alchemical Advantage). I’ve tried multiple different paragon boards, but still can’t get over the hump.

For what it’s worth, I’m running Smoke Grenade, Shadow Step, Poison Trap, Poison Imbuement, Shadow Clone and Barrage. I’ve got a strong grasp of the rotation and damage multiplier triggers.

I’m not sure what more I can do to push my poison damage that much higher. If the screenshots I’ve seen are to be believed, it’s possible for me to somehow double or even triple my current poison damage…I just don’t understand how. Any help would be appreciated.

That may be the limit for Barrage. People who push 150+ are using Rapid Fire.

Why aren’t you using Combo points and a basic attack like puncture or heartseeker? That should push your damage quite a bit higher.

Gearing for this is expensive since the RF builds don’t use Mythic. Preparing for lots of tempering frustration. Plus, it’s specifically designed for PITS and doesn’t perform well in Infernal Hordes. I’m still hesitant to make the switch.

There is also the immortal build but lack of damage.

Andy Barrage could clear 151 - 152 with godlike gears. Good gears could clear 149 - 150 ez.

I don’t want them to nerf it just yet. Someone previously shared a method for PC, but it involved using a mouse-clicking macro, which I don’t recommend. However, I’ve figured out how to do it on a controller without needing any third-party software.

May be hard for me with controller. :sob:
