There is no need to overhaul, just reverse the nerf patch in S5 and remove the two weapon slots. Their paragon boards has a lot of damage in S4 with uncapped multiplier. Most of their damage come from their 2x Weapon affix and legendary aspect.
It is pretty hilarious/sad that you don’t even know where the damage the class come from even you keep cry about it. The problem of Barb other than Rob2628 not making build to hand hold you, is the barb are played by mediocre players. What builds can possibly make up for such a giant loss of stats? Like seriously, go look at Barbs paragons compared to most other classes; there’s very little offensive stats in there, and that’s by design because BARB USED TO GET THOSE STATS FROM WEAPONS. Now Barb is getting less stats from those and has NOTHING in their paragon board to make up for it, same deal with skills (in fact, Barbs best passives in the tree ate some bad nerfs as well lol)
And notice carefully how after that weapon stat squish, Barb was by far the worst class in the game until they overhauled Barb’s paragon boards and let Berserk Damage by multiplicative.
He just want to play broken build for content. He will play another class if someone found a broken interaction with certain unique again. The season just started 1 week, there are still a lot undiscovered bug.
Blizzard only nerf at the end of season, this was same treatment for bash barb when they miss configured the bash temper from + to x.
I play lightning spear sorc also together with normal Frozen orb. I never like LS as it is not an intended design. I just play it to farm the Hordes efficiently. For other content include killing boss I play FO only.

As I said I have decided to ignore you, but I dont mind to make one last post as you keep crying. Season 4 is different from other seasons, as this the first season which all affix range has been increased and tempering affixes added. The affixes has been further boosted by GA and masterworking Which give unfair advantage to class with two extra two handed weapon slots. Especially weapon now come with Max life which make a barb run with 140K max life without any good build and ignore all game mechanic. Thats the reason barb passive need to be nerfed to balance their advantage from the power of new affixes. Blizzard has not nerf the max life from barb weapon, which is and oversight as every class still need to work on their defense except Barb with 140K Life.
I have been playing Barb since season 0 and also last season. You think I am not aware Barb legendary aspect is weaker? But that problem already eliminate with so many new Uniques. Barb can just focus on the few Aspect which still good, and the rest just replace with Uniques and Mystic Uniques.
Thats my last discussion with you, as I don’t think is a good use of time to continue to reply your post. Sorc has broken LS so what? I have stopped play D4 since I have completed T8 hordes with two mins boss fight with none min max gear. There is no other content for me to consume in the game, it is still boring. I will play Black Myth Wukong next week, and Warhammer 4k next month. While still playing Elden Ring. My schedule is so busy to bother about all this Barb is weak discussion.
So this is widely considered an A tier build. And not even a fun build. It is widely used because its easy to build and doesnt require that much talent to execute. Just point and shoot. Actually you dont even need to point. Lol.
And sorc class has zero S tier builds.
Necro, Barb and Rogue meanwhile have MULTIPLE s tier builds.

This is the season to play SORC, I do not see how it affects you in anyway though but every season there is one class that will outshine the rest. I remember several seasons in a row Barbarian was king of all with multiple builds, hitting for godly amounts one shotting / two shotting duriel and uber lilith.
