It’s too fast 1-60 and too slow 60-100. There needs to be a more consistent leveling system so you don’t feel like you have either leveled too quickly or feel like your experience gain is slower than molasses in winter.
Well, when you exit the campaign and after you’re done with all the side quests, you’re going to be around 70… the game ends at around 85 (nothing happens after that that is not any different). It’s as they intended it… for now!
I bet they are working on some more stuff for us to do.
Leveling speed is one of the reasons I quit D2 among many.
The itemization was much better but alas itemization was not so awesome that it drew me to put up with the boring tedium the game became after maxing my first two characters.
So unfortunately my opinion on “leveling” in D4 sits opposite your own.
But hey that is ok!
In the end they are just opposing individual opinions.
Hahahahahahahahahahahha
I wish I could downvote the OP. Leveling in this game is atrociously boring after about 75.
In the time it took me to level a Diablo 4 character to level 75, I was able to level 3 characters in D2R to 75.
They need to slow leveling down and then add xp boosters to the shop. ![]()
That’s why you click skip campaign!
i think this is the seasonal concept talking for yall now, i find it crazy the point of a game is to blow past all the content in order to farm the one new thing they added. but to each there own i guess
I’m all for campaign replayability, but I would like to have the option to do that on entry to world tier 3 and 4. It certainly beats grinding the same NM dungeons over and over again.
Get around level 80 and it reminds me of Everquest and how punishing it seemed to be to get exp.
lol i still play p99 and i have no idea how this reminds you of that, takes actual days to get 1 level after 50 in Everquest. in D4 you could push 90-100 in a solid day or 2 of playing nps
I agree with all you say mate. Unfortunately the whinners won on this case and the lvl up in diabolo 4 is very easy and quick (even if you don’t use the exploits/hacks). I am lvl100 already being a casual gamer of 15-16 hours a day, and to be honest after reaching lvl100 so quickly it gets a bit tedious. So i hope the exp gain is addressed in the future, to cut it down maybe by 60-70%? That would be a sweet spot, so that people don’t reach end state 1,5 months before season end.
There’s some good points here. As a casual player of D4, I think the leveling at low levels is way too fast. My wife and I went through one overworld dungeon and were already level 12. We usually would just wait until we had 2-3 skill points because otherwise it feels like all you’re doing for the first hour of the game is assigning more skill points. There’s no time to see how your character works when you only have the first few skill tiers unlocked.
I’d also agree about higher levels and the general complaints about endgame content. We just make new characters when we hit level 60 because of the grindy nature.
Can you imagine if today’s crybabies were handed Everquest? The tantrums would be out of this world.
