Last minute changes to patch notes

What the hell are you doing with the patch notes right before season 5?
Why did you make so many promises during the campfire chat only to renege on them today?
Do you think your players are naive?
Do you think you’re smarter, better than the rest of us?
Do you want us to keep playing this game?
You sure are trying hard to make us stop.

I don’t think they know what they are doing. The erratic and radical single changes show that. They have no overall balance plan, no balance strategy.

Instead, since Season 3, everything got buffed into extremes. The damage goes through the roof because they have put multiplicative damage bonuses into the game and multiplying numbers greater than 1 leads to exponential growth. But instead of tuning down those multiplicative damage bonuses or getting rid of them, they add new multiplicative damage bonuses to the game and they even buff the existing ones. This leads to a high sensitivity, which means that a relatively small change of an item stat can result in either way more damage output or way less damage output. And the more multiplicative damage bonuses they add to the game, the more sensitive the whole damage system becomes.

But they have not understood this. Instead they think specific skills are too strong or too weak and change the stats of specific skills. But this does not solve the fundamental problem at all.

The only thing they are interested in, is selling the expansion. Therefore, before the release of the expansion, they buff everything through the roof, so that players get excited for a small amount of time, so they think, and would be more likely to buy the expansion, so they think.

I am very disappointed that the game goes into a wrong direction.

Ye last minute changes seems to be all nerfs. They buffed and reverted back to nerfing again.

Way to kill the hype there ya

If a game and some patch notes upset you this much then I’d say it’s time to stop playing.

Is there a list of these changes somewhere?

The only reason I can see for them to do this is because of a special seasonal mechanic… much like season 1… season may have been fine, but no compensation to eternal for the loss… so yea, and not aware of a new mechanic, just activity…

Seems to me someone did their job two weeks ago completing it in 2 hours. No one gave him anything new until 2 days ago forcing said worker to update their works which also had typo no one corrected. I’m not here to blame the messenger. I blame the pipeline where the message is coming from.

Several of those changes needed to happen. The obvious AUTO-INCLUDE of at least two aspects was bad. That said, DOT’s might be quite dead which isn’t good.

you all po’ed voh already. so yea, they probably are.

Are yall just talking about the late inclusion of the new aspects and uniques that were forgotten in the original patch notes. Or, is there a new change to the notes that Im unaware of?

Adam Fletcher tweeted out the latest update to the patch notes and it is now reflected in the patch note. Man, I have no words how disappointing this is.

The original patch notes did not include the new uniques and some leggo powers. They added them later. Then later changed some of them.

They just changed a whole bunch of stuff again, mostly if not all nerfs. Mostly to new aspects coming in S5.

I am not sure what the heck is going on over there at blizzard, They got everyone so excited and then they just S%# on our face.

Yeah, I seen them. I dunno if they actually “nerfed” the stuff. Obviously it is nerfed compared to the first iteration, but the original notes could have also just been typo errors.

could been typo errors, but that doesn’t make the whole situation better lol.

But they did not admit that was errors. I mean a lot of stuff got changed, or nerfed rather. They started with the new Uniques…, ok fine w/e… then they moved on to the new aspects.

Creeping death at 100% for 2h gave me hope for Rabies. But 40% is probably not enough.

I am starting to wonder if DoT offensive tempers (I’m speaking about Rabies specifically because I know Rabies) need to become multiplicative instead of additive.

Really annoying, it is like they are trying to patch out the fun in the game. Everything said on the campfire chat made me feel great for Season 5, not that excitement is deflating

Yeah, it doesnt make the situation better either way. People seen the stuff and were like WOOT!!! Then the changes happen and they look terrible. Definitely disappointing.

I just want them to balance the damn game. Make all skills feel fun and good to play. Enough of the swing meta where a few builds are ultra powerful and most builds are dumpster fire. Then next season those builds are nerfed to the utter ground. People are going to say “oh you can play whatever you want.” Yeah, you can but it doesn’t feel good to only do say a lvl 60 pit when another build can plow through a 130 in 2 minutes.

It’s been a year now. Get the crap right. Power should come from skill tree anyways. Gear should just augment how it plays and maybe give small damage increases. That way the build still feels good to play before you get RNG drops. There should not be this huge gap of skill does 100 dmg by itself and then a piece of gear makes it suddenly to 10k dmg. Just a made up example.

ye I agree with that notion. What’s with all these unexplained knee jerking reactions 2 days before the season hit … I mean seriously lol

It just feels so off…
