Lair boss one shots return

Please consider removing these. Instead, a large DOT or something should be applied. Losing a full health bar of 9.3k feels bad.

Wasnt the whole point with the health changes to make dmg taken, and healing up again during combat, relevant.
And then bosses still oneshot? :confused:

I would wish Blizzard used the PTR to do a major balance pass. But probably too much to hope for.

From what I tested so far T1 bosses weren’t even hitting through Fortify/Barrier but T2 bosses could pierce like 80% of HP even through that

Now I know I don’t have perfect armor/resist gear but yeah, boss DPS needs to be kinda toned down (say 20-25%), or even better if they can make it reduce more noticeably damage at the perimeter of their attacks

Yeah the boss damage really escalates rapidly. They are over tuned. Did a pit 85 w/ 10 minutes to spare but couldn’t crack 90 or even 88. This is with 275 paragon. Not enough damage because now you have to put every paragon point into armor, resist and life. And you better have some of that on your gear also. So DPS is sacrificed. Or you die. A lot. Oh and I saw a rogue clear a pit 150.

That very much should be the outcome at least. That defensive affixes are considered just as viable, and needed, as offensive.
And likewise in the paragon board. But if all you want to take in the paragon board is defense, then it is as bad as if all you wanted was offense.

I still dont understand why Blizzard isnt focusing much more on survival being about sustaining multiple hits, and your ability to recover from that, over some amount of time.

If it just keeps being a dance between oneshot dmg, and having enough toughness to barely survive that oneshot (after which you instantly get to full health again for the next oneshot attempt), then all the defense and health changes, and honestly, all the combat changes, will be kinda meaningless.

Not everything is a 1 shot but 9k isn’t much, especially without barrier. Andy and Harbinger hit for over 20k on certain things and Belial is a bit higher and all his stuff hurts.

Technically you ‘heal’ your shields. Just too fast :slight_smile:
