It’s a solo game because I play it solo. If it turns into a game that requires party play then that will also be the day I go play something else, no worries.

I played D1 start to finish many times. I never teamed up once. It wasn’t even possible then. So: solo game.

I played D3 and while I teamed up a bit with some rl friends, there wasn’t one bit of content that required it. So: solo game.

So NOTHING, not one part of any of these DIABLO games REQUIRED me to team up to do the content.
So that is why people think this is a solo game, and why many are rightfully PO’d at Blizzard for changing that.

Played D2 for years never traded a thing. Never did “pvp” or whatever that little room was supposed to be.

BTW glad you’ve already cleared the new content and just didn’t watch a video to make assumptions.

Didnt read all the comments here but from what I have read so far I clearly read a lot of “mimimi I am casual”: “mimimi I am a bad player I can’t play in groups” to “mimimi Diablo was never about PvP” even though it clearly was.
The sad truth is I am absolutely correct on this matter and while a larger portion agrees with me they just remain silent instead of adding fuel to this endless discussion, especially with beginners aka very bad players.
If I am not correct, explain why almost 45 people are argueing against me and the other 2000 forum users are silent? Easy: they agree with me or else this thread would have 2000 comments by now.
Currently about 2000 people are agreeing with me while the small minority is being loud as expected. The loud minority. A very good example of what I tried explaining in the beginning. Kind of like Trump Voters, very small community with no brain but very very loud.
Putting aside for a moment that you’re clearly a toxic troll and I shouldn’t engage with you, for the others who might read your comment and think you know what you’re talking about: no, lmao, absolute 
opinion, Diablo was never about PVP.
Just because something is possible, doesn’t mean it’s really intended or even supported. Do you think Rockstar made GTA online intending that people would RP normal occupations? No, but people did it anyway.
Through D2 PVP was possible but no element of gameplay except for ears was designed around it, and that was an addition to the game.
It wasn’t even possible in D3 until “brawling” was added, and that was a tiny map, the first and last thing the devs did for PVP.
Launch D4 has two maps with rewards that come primarily from PVE and the devs said at launch that they were not going to balance anything for it. That could change, but it hasn’t so far.
Long story short, your Diablo experience may have been all about PVP, but the games NEVER were.

The citadel will be impossible with 3 random ppl. They will do zero damage and will die all the time. This will get toxic and annoying for majority.
Look at COD they dont even have chat for the reason. And we will have to deal with randoms.

Stop trying to bring the toxic and sick mentality from WOW to Diablo 4. Later you would demand dps meters to show how good you are etc.
I, for one, like to play solo and only group if I feel like it (e.g., with real life friends). But most of the time, I like to be alone and do my own stuff to destress.
By the way, your statement of “Get good” betrays your toxic mentality - like to boast, criticize and humiliate people. So you can just f-off.
