For my Barbarian i get most of my aspects from the dungeons for my hota deathblow build.
I would prefer either aspects were a chance to drop from dungeons (if they made dungeons fun) or just not have them come from dungeons at all.
In my personal experience i did not enjoy the item chase as much because getting a perfect aspect does not affect gameplay on base world tier 4 for example.
You can play with no aspects and still 1 shot all the mobs in the world.
Atleast as a barbarian anyways.
That works for barbs and rogue. Rogues get 3 build defining aspects from dungeons. Druids get 0, none, nadda. You literally play the game hard mode until you luck out and get one of the required drop-only aspects. And then, you can only transfer it once. Then you are stuck with that piece of gear until it drops again if you want to keep playing that build. Must be nice to just fire up the codex when you get a new piece of gear.
Yeah items drop too much.
Lower the droprates AND lower the affix ranges. So that the amount of useful items remains unchanged.
There is no reason to have a minimum affix value be half of maximum, that is just unnecessary RNG. Those low rolls will always be useless items.
Yes i know the aspects you extract off of gear roll higher than the aspects you get given from dungeons i never disagreed or said you were wrong.
My point is I personally do not like getting given PERMANENT aspects (Even if they are weaker) from dungeons, Id rather they had a small chance to drop from the specific dungeon. OR have to find the item, and run different dungeons because of the monsters individual loot table or something.
Yes, its to much. In one weekend ALL my characters are full of legendaries (upgraded or dropped). i have the aspects i want and currency is off the chart.
its to easy… is this what they are aiming for? it wont get more rare from here…
Also the high numbers of damage “we wont se dmg numbers in the millions due to the new armor system and scaling” - guess what, we are seeing numbers in the million already and they stated they will INCREASE density in S1…
everything is going the exact wrong direction - im super casual and already this game is getting bloated, spammy and raining legenadries.
People who are playing this as a ‘one and done’, barely playing beyond campaign game would say you’re out of touch OP. But this is Diablo, the grinding franchise which set that tone with Diablo 2 especially. It’s supposed to be a live service game that goes on for 10+ years. There’s a complete lack of that longevity atm and it is indeed because of the incredibly high drop rates of sacred and ancestrial items.
I was expecting those to be at an even lower drop rate than Ancients and Primals respectively on D3; then it would really feel like an impactful upgrade & dopamine spike when you’d find such quality items with the affixes you’re mostly looking for on it. But they’ve missed this mark by such a margin that I have very little faith in the devs’ ability to keep this game interesting as a grinding game for a prolonged period of time. At this drop rate, sacreds and ancestrial rares might as well just be regular rares (and they actually are on wt4 lol, sacred as the minimum base + all the minimum guaranteed rarity drops from content rewards is ridiculous). There’s 0 dopamine to be gained here.
It’s unfortunate that the spreadsheet /trading simulator aka PoE, which is so due to be overthrown, will not be overthrown by this game in terms of longevity interest (“staying power”).
This is probably the worst take I’ve ever read regarding this topic. You clearly don’t play the game a lot and don’t know what you’re talking about.
Do you realize how many variables that can make dropped items bad/unusable?
Do you know how to farm gold in this game?
Did you try rerolling an item?
How many times did you drop a good item with 4 good rolls?
I don’t like when my time is wasted for stupid reasons… I don’t want to waste my life chasing one good item that might drop after 1000 hours of playtime
Legendaries are raining from the sky, unfortunately they are 99% garbage. Once you hit 55 you might get something you can use once in a great great while.
And what are these legendaries doing for you? Absolutely nothing once you have your setup. It would also do absolutely nothing if they were rarer, once you had your setup.
Uniques are 10x rarer and are still vendor trash for everyone once they get what they want.
My experience with dungeon aspects is that they are the minimum roll value. For example, the affix for basic skills get plus 15% damage can roll from 15% to 30% (or something like that). The dungeon version only gives 15%. Good enough to get you going, but not good enough long term
Like what…either go with Legendary or Unique and make them Rare…right now Legendary is just Yellows with an aspect basically, i feel like thats the core issue with this game, they are trying to do so many different things at once and its just becoming a cluttered mess.
