Which speaks volumes. If your there to be hateful, ya you shouldnât be there. Its a discord. Most people dislike some tool coming in and knocking something they enjoy.
But echo chambers are not good ether, it does stifle constructive discussion.
Double edged seord i know. I dont how to put it any better
Maybe. But the idea of a forum is an exchange of ideas and opinions. Not everyone agrees. Shutting down the exchange of opposing ideas and opinions in favor of an echo chamber was seen as AGS simply not wanting to hear feedback any longer. Yes, massive amounts of toxicity on the forums, but thats why there are community modsâŚto regulate a bit and to weed through the BS.
I myself have some harsh criticisms of the game, particularly when it came to the renown announcement the other day and blizzards reluctance to either nerf party XP or add in SSF leaderboards (when leaderboards are put in).
And thats totally fair but your being constructive. And you are not trying to ruin someone elses enjoyment
the problem is that those who just come to hate game here, will not listen to any others oppinion at all, and goes berserk towards anyone not having same ideas.
the we have those who come here and tell how much they like the game, they also get shut down buy the haters big time or people have to start complaining what is wrong with the game in threads that has nothing do with it.
if people actualy would keep to their threads and not spam the forums whit same topics 100s of time a day, and actualy stay in their topics that actualy do talk about eighter problems or how nice the game is, we would not have this major mess we have now.
The heck? What? Why!!!?
Very offensive post, Iâm literally shaking now.

This door swings both ways though.
There are people that like the game that sling out attacks as well against even well thought out criticism.
All coins have two sides.
Diablo forums have always been toxic because of both sides.
Constrictive criticism is great and healthy. The problem is the internet devolves into expressing it was as much outrage and insulting comments as possible. Like it is some sort of contest. If asked in person, most people would likely rephrase it to something pointed, but actually within the bounds of polite.
Then there are also the dedicated trolls. They pay to be here to make the same threads over and over, derail topics, etc. Concern trolling couched in âdoes anyone else feel this wayâ. Some are maybe just bored? Some are likely paid by someone to influence the forums? Some are âjournalistsâ who submit freelance pieces about internet âtrendsâ. After creating a trend, then writing about it, then linking to it to generate traffic! Brilliant.
And yes, the Diablo forums have always been very very adversarial and âtoxicâ, so to speak.
Moderation is inconstant and not timely. That is about all I can say about it.
there are too many negative posts here, ai ? path trolls? the games great, i dont get it. d3 was a hot mess when it launched too, it will level outâŚ
That comment was extremely upsetting! My fainting couch wasnât even anywhere near me when I read it!
Poor sales man, Blizzard as multi-billion dollar company canât afford any free volunteer moderators
No oneâs safe. Have an opinion? You could get smoked for it.
Blizzard has always been pretty relaxed with their forums.
Hell, I remember the days when the Diablo community was upset that it was taking so long for a new Diablo, so they took to breaking the Starcraft II forums.
Ah, memoriesâŚ
I like a lot of you people and wish I could actually find you one day in game.
Cheers for being cool!
last time i checked bobby got rid of them.
Iâm absolutely not a bot. Still think people who like this game in its current iteration are dumb.
words on a screen. Youâll be fine.
I agree some of these posts are so far fetched and repetitive that I truly do believe some are paid or asked to go stir things up for a competitor.
If you go read some of the posts and some of the negative reviews itâs pretty apparent some of them havenât even played the game or other Diablo games.
