Season 4 will be where its revealed of the changes they are going to make to itemization. However what I fear is that in one of their blogs they talked about working closely with diablo partners and content creators to gather feedback regarding the itemization changes that are in development right now.
This right now these itemization changes are going to either make or break season 4 and how players perceive the game. Surely it won’t be worse right? What happens if it is?
Will they have to reinvent the system for the Expansion? Will that even be enough to bring back players?
Seasons reset everything anyway so who cares?
Or do you care about eternal? I’ll delete my 10 characters if it means making the itemization interesting.
The itemization is the root of all problems in this game, it makes content uninteresting, because rewards are uninteresting.
Honestly I’m not expecting much. Maybe a tweak to the reroll system at the cost of having to farm more mats.
Im expecting to have to refarm almost all my gear also.
That makes sense, I just started playing again about about 1 month break, and find myself in a weird predicament, but I think I will probably just farm duriel. I was going to spec out the new metas, but they will be gone in a couple months with brand new gear, so probably not worth farming and spending rolling matts (FS - lol bane of my existance - forgotten souls arggggggggh)
your informations are heavy outdatet lil dude!

Hope to hear something promising on Thursday’s campfire.
I care about my characters, eternal or seasonal. I just do not enjoy if my efforts and time were just wasted. Some people may argue that well you played and you had fun. I do not know if I can confirm that. I just do not like that everything that I have gained or achieved is gone all of a sudden. This was a key reason why I quit WOW after playing for more than a decade. It was not that bad with WOW because I did not have to go back to some eternal server to re-equip any character, but the expansions that keep raising the max level and making the previous gears useless eventually pull the trigger. Now I am facing a similar situation. I just do not like it, but I know they need to make the change.
It may not be too bad if we just need to replace all the legendaries. If the Ubers need to be replaced as well, I am definitely quitting the enter Diablo franchise forever.

That’s good to hear, but won’t help with season 3, which goes to April 16th. That’s still 7 weeks away as of this writing.
I suspect a lot of people are already done for the season. There’s no reason to replay right now.
that doesn’t sound game changing at all
the stats themselves need to be thrown in the dumpster along with the aspect system
the gameplay loop isn’t fun enough to compensate for the lack of itemization and player agency. it feels like a short lived game you play 3 or 4 times out of the year, and I really think that’s all they were going for. you don’t need people to play the game consecutively, only to keep coming back to generate sales.
it’s a dead game
How is it an Indie game we won’t mention launched with an incredibly in depth item/loot system and a company 20 times the size and a year later is still struggling to fix their loot?
At this stage they are not even discussing it up at campfire chat.

A year later? So you’re a time traveler.
You are referring to that game that you cannot get in or will force you to wait for a long time to travel from one in-game area to another? Lol.
The servers are fine. Every damn game in existence has server issues at launch.
It’s because the servers got slammed so hard from people wanting to play.
Diablo had 5k players online on steam at the same time other game had 212k players…
Okay. I hold nothing against that game. I hope they do well. Have fun there!
I will not try it. There are two things that I do not like about that game, which happen to be the main reasons that I like D4:
- Maybe I am wrong, but it looks like you have to choose a class path at some point. I do not like the class pre-set. Like if I want to play a rogue, then I want the freedom to combine different skills however I want, good or bad, weird or normal. There will be some restrictions, but I do not want to be an exact marksman or some eagle trainer… With that being said, I love owls way more than eagles or falcons, so I may try if they have an owl trainer. Lol
- The characters are not good looking to me in that game. I am in love with my rogues and barbarians in D4.

D4 is in its third season coming up to its fourth and look at the state of it
Choice of 2 options per skill, no build variety, loot sucks, season 3 sucks pet is boring af, no group finder, no loot filter, no end game, farm duriel or farm duriel, buy $70mount skin for maximum enjoyment.
People like to put other games down while standing in their Diablo bubble of denial.
Pretty solid guesses knowing D3’s track record on items.
Well let’s see: People are still coming back to regrind characters every three months, the next campfire chat is in a few days, the next season launches in a month or so and the first expansion will be released later this year. And people like you who claim they quite a long time ago will be here trying to convince everyone they aren’t still playing, which is always good entertainment. So I’d say it’s in a pretty good state
Ps: in regards to your edit, this isn’t an MMO. I don’t play Diablo to play with others and since launch most people can’t group in Last Epoch either
Played all weekend multiplayer. Sounds like you just read stuff but didnt actually play it.
Anyway…lets just go with your Diablo 4 is in a pretty good state.
