Twitch numbers, Blizzard’s own ‘7 million characters created’ figure (that’s not 7 million people, probably closer to half that and that’s near the beginning of S1 out of 12 million people) and anecdotal evidence. If we can agree the trend is downward, extrapolating from the figure Blizz announced to now judging based on the sentiment from social media and Blizzard’s tanked event - it’s not looking good.

all completely irrelevant as blizz has never released real player numbers, i have 1 character this season. i dont watch twitch and i play this game, literally debunking your whole thesis
You don’t need to watch Twitch to be able to draw comparisons from Twitch viewers.
wrong, it destroys your entire thesis of “if theres no twitch viewers there a low player count.” i play the game, and dont watch twitch. basic stuff here.

I just stay for the laughs, gotta get my monies worth somehow after Blizz ripped me off. I would genuinely like to see this game improve so it’ll be worth coming back to some day, so I argue with white knights who are damaging the chances of that happening - gives me something to do while I watch movies on my other monitor.

That’s a great point, I hadn’t even considered people would need mules. On eternal every free slot is a mule for me, so I could see the same thing happening on seasonal.
If you were posting facts, then you would be calling out the OP. But we all know what your motivation is bud. Attack, discredit, smear, belittle, demean, and denigrate any and all who dare criticize the game, or who supports the game, in order to gain as much attention such behavior elicits in order to validate your petty and insignificant existence.
