The Rogue build I am playing now will basically get elevated to S tier, which is nuts because I’d only rank it maybe a B currently (could be A Tier but I am lacking the Mythics to properly get it there except for RoSS which is mandatory for it to even function)
What I’m curious about now though is if the new shadow boots will be better than flickerstep. It kinda sucks that they are competing for the slot.

Hard to say, but you’ll need Beastfalls boots if you want to spawn ultimates consistently. I think the new boots will only be useful for speed farming.
At least we are getting armory.
I would wait and see how it peforms in the PTR. Given that they are making Shadow Clone copy more or the player’s stats, which is insane to me, I have a suspicion that they might cap it. With Spiritborn Ultimates you can only have 1 Ultimate out for the duration, can see them doing the same for Shadow Clone. Uniques and aspects Shadow Clone effects would probaly be unaffected the cap.
They will probably only do something if it causes some kind of server issue.
But I have to see GoS in action with these new changes because it would just be too funny if paired with Shadowslicer it just sets off an endless barrage of clones when you use Dash.
Depends on the Ult, Shadow Clone is 15 second duration and kind of want to do a Shadow Step clone build so cant really use Beastfall or Preparation in that case. Although it also only leaves Inner Sight which is annoying too. New boots look too fun to not try with this (hopefully imitated imbuement works with the unique boots too, also curious if can imbue skills to have both cold + shadow).

I use Preparation right now on my Shadow Clone build as I just spam Flurry all day to fuel it.
Yes they can last i heard. Never tested myself though. Easy test is just to use Coldclip and that Poison Puncture aspect
I’m fairly certain that does work. I mean Word of Hakkan gives all 3 to Rain of Arrowsm

They fixed the spiritborn’s equivalent interaction with the petrify rune right at the beginning of S6, so definitely expect them to do the same for the rogue

Blizzard really wants players to spawn Ultimate. I never play a game that allow players to do that.
Aspect of Apogeic Furor – Offensive
- Casting an Ultimate Skill increases your Ultimate damage by 8-15.5%, up to 80-155%. At 10 stacks, your Cooldowns and this bonus are reset.
Aspect of Decisive Resolution – Offensive
- Casting an Ultimate Skill increases your damage by 10-30% for 8 seconds. Gain 4 additional Ultimate Skill Ranks.
Ultimate Efficiency — New Resource Tempering Recipe
- Death Trap Cooldown Reduction
- Rain of Arrows Cooldown Reduction
- Shadow Clone Cooldown Reduction
- Energy after Casting an Ultimate Skill
Fixed an uncommon issue where Preparation wouldn’t reduce your Ultimate Skill’s Cooldown by the appropriate amount.
It’s are arpg/hacknslash, they tend to do that when you get to the end. They are not the same as mmorpgs.
That said i would enjoy it if it was, since i know how to play them, but most arpgs do this. or atleast they can choose to do this perhaps is more accurate.
Granted the state launch was in, proved this is not what people want in arpgs anymore if ever, was to wait for CDs on skills while attacking with a resource spender lol.
So with a small skill bar like D4 has, how else does it work…
The beauty of D4 is you can tailor it so rn i am using flickerstep and evades mecahnics to boost when Ultimate usage when i choose to evade through monsters. But it’s not heavily part of my rotation it can sit there on CD a little longer or i can sweat and keep in going with my evades, the flexibility is what makes it fun, or i got full brain rot and tap into bigger ultimate spam, we still have choice in D4 over D3 sets where it was play this way or go home. But its still a snappier rotation than a mmo or arpg with more active skills.
Ultimate spam is the only fun way to play rogue. This will at least be a fun season for rogue.
