started playing the game now that I’ve heard stuff is a lot better than launch. the game feels extremely dead compared to D3. no way to chat people in a general channel to ask questions and find friends in game. No class channels to talk specifics about the different classes in the game. no clans that actually recruit and hard to find ones hat are active since most leave 1 spot open so they keep showing up. This game just feels completely dead and void of presence. where are the people playing. would be nice to have people to chat up and talk to while playing like I could in D3 and still do there.
I jumped in just about over a week ago just to see how the season was. Went from major hub cities, dead. Searched local players, dead. Clan of 150 had 1 player, dead. 59 friends on my list that were mostly major traders, not a single one has been on for months. Checked twitch, 1,127 people watching out of 775k followers. My son has uninstalled the game during this season cause everything is broken he said.
This is basically at the beginning of a new season. What are all the walking dead, D4 zealots going to say now since they can’t use the “Well its the end of the season of course its dead in a seasonal game”? Its the beginning of the season and its basically the John Travolta in pulp fiction meme.
It was kinda good season, but to farm materials for gem and craft mythic are insane!
I have been playing every season, and seems like theres a lot of players atm, like every season. They are all at cerrigar, three of whispers and witchtide. I made second character yesterday, and lower difficulties are pretty empty, but from penitent to T4 theres a lot of players.
And actually this season is the first time when im thinking about disabling crossplay, so I could farm in peace.
Dude I can’t even play right. The stupid patch made my PS5 and the game incompatible. Everyone is saying it’s a PS5 thing. Welp if it was would I be able to go load COD and play right now smoothly or Doom or Fortnite (or ANY other PS5 game for that matter.)
When there are no active players, it is proof that the game has failed.
Get to torment levels and you will see plenty of people. People left the starters zone a long time ago.
Gotto admit I can’t defend this season and usually I defend blizzard but I can’t believe how sloppy this season is.
They have to do better than this in fact I can’t believe they released this mess
Thank god I’m playing KCD2
Toment 4 is bustling with people.
This season all my friends are either offline or playing other games.
kinda sad.
that is what happens when you lose control over a game as a dev and you let your competition (POE2) take over, giving you a lesson over balance and fun.
Short answer yes. Long answer: the game is dead
Even wudijo plays diablo 3, the biggest fanatic. And this explains a lot
you should play what you like and not be guided by YouTubers. you should have your own opinion. In my opinion, D4 is great and I still play it and enjoy it. Season 7 is one of the best. And when I want to play D2, I run D2R, so don’t try to turn D4 into D2. For me D4 is not died. I still play.
The mechanics have become so predictable, you want something? Well, it’s simple, repeat hundreds of seasonal events to obtain materials to generate one of the many objects that you will have to combine to obtain part of the seasonal object you are looking for. Fun, isn’t it? Wait, it gets better because you can lose it due to a malicious bug in the long-awaited armory, and then you can repeat everything all over again. Nothing will give you more fun than our game!
Um, depending on “who is near me”… Actually there are bugs even in that feature… One is if you set to “Appear Offline”; it is not respected… You can still be seen in players near me and by people on your list; you are just grayed out. That used to not happen and I noticed it in Season 7. This ranks right up there with the emoji wheel starting on the left panel now rather than the center…
Either case, people I know aren’t playing D4 anymore so activity has gone way down based on those I know.
Turn of cross-play and if you are PC you really kind of have a ghost town.
Odd, I can’t go anywhere or do anything without running into hordes of people. Trade chat is always bustling with people offering and asking for stuff, as well as the usual conversations about anything. Some of you are really reaching to make a point that doesn’t exist. As to streaming, let’s just say some of us are too busy playing the game to watch other people play the game.
Yep. This is like turning on WOW and claiming the game is dead because no one is in shadowlands. The lengths some people will go to justify their own biases is hilarious .
I love weekends.
I’ve not once done a world boss in t4 or a legion that wasn’t a full group. Never been in a witch area that didn’t look like some one kicked open an ant hill. People everywhere.
People everywhere once the campaign is completed.
