Im doing around 100k damage, and my clone is also doing roughly the same, can anyon confirm if this ultimate is now doing same as you? I don’t want to invest in gear and get my damage in the 50m but my shadow clone is stuck in the 100k range.
If you build correctly Shadow Clone will do way more damage than yourself due to SC double damage temper and witch power buffs to summon this season.
Shadow clone is now considered a “summon” now.
Any stats increase to “you” is also applied to your “summons”… Thus shadow clone
So yes it can go way beyond your dmg with proper build crafting.
I love this change its awesome. ![]()
My Clone does the bulk of the damage for my build and I love it.
Just got the new boots today (2 GA too) and it’s all coming together nicely, if they would just fix Twilight Barrier already so I can combine it with the Victimize aspect that also gives barrier.
There’s a few things I’m still not sure of though;
Like with the copied imbuements, do I need to cast them after summoning it, or does it just automatically apply shadow imbuement as long as I have it active in myself.
The other is with my double damage flurry tempers, do I have to land a double hit myself or does it have a separate chance when copying me to proc there’s a whole lot of confusion over it.
Been meaning to make a video showing how I’ve amended my initial build but just got a lot going on and still hunting down some items as well.
My issue with Shadow Clone as a skill is it interrupts Dance Of Knives. It would be great if the devs would allow you to use it without it interrupting Dance Of Knives. Makes Dance of Knives feel clunky having to stop to use Shadow Clones and then having to do the whole rotation over to get back up to full power.
Snapshotting just needs to be removed entirely and not something that is required to get full benefit of an ability. It’s tedious and leads to abuse of mechanics ie occult power that’s bugged and allows you to pull 60 mobs in a pit and get massive stats as long as you don’t let it drop.
IDK about doing my damage per sey but it’s been a lot more useful than before. I just wish they’d fix the bugs with it.
What bugs specifically?
The imbue your Shadow Clones with your aspect doesn’t seem to work. Can’t tell if it’s a graphical glitch or a numbers glitch though.
do you know if they do the same number of attacks as the player? I’m at 8 frames / sec per attack and want to know if there is a cap for summons that makes it useless to have high atks / sec.
100% no clue 20 characters
I am no longer getting temper manuals and I do not see any tempers for SC duration or cooldown? Yet all the guides consistently have this temper, so I am stumped.
There is no SC duration temper. SC CD is in Resource Ultimate Efficiency so you can only use that on rings or amulet.
Oh I see it now, thx.
I found this one, but it is in Offensive temper section, which competes with pretty much every other DPS temper, like crit dmg etc…but good to know there are options.
I’m using Starless + Scoundrel so I have to get a new amulet for my Shadow Clone.
No Witnesses node requires resetting your ultimate every 10 seconds. SC already lasts for 15 sec so SC CD would be overkill.
Doh, I totally forget about that and I use Inner Sight duration in the same temper manual. ![]()
However, with the seasonal Grow witch power you really want to cast SC every 10 seconds so SC duration is pointless.
Doesn’t Grow just increase the dmg of your SC? Why cast every 10 sec? I don’t even have it down to anywhere near 10sec with Shako
Yes, SC does a lot more damage so it’s important to buff it. Grow and No Witness last 10 seconds after you cast an ultimate.
You need SC CDR on amulet and ring(s). Higher SC skill rank will both increase its damage and lower its CD so Vex rune and Vehement Brawler’s Aspect are very good. My SC CD is at 9.6 seconds fully buffed.
Another benefit of casting SC every 10 seconds is that you can easily sync it with drinking healing potion for Unstable Elixirs passive.
Also, having SC on low enough CDR means you can spam Preparation for Cooldown resets and additional energy topups. SC is really good even if you don’t focus on buffing it’s damage.
