I went into vaults expecting a disaster. But it’s not that bad. Especially with warding items.
I need more coffee. I had to read that twice… I almost took it TOTALLY the wrong way.
Still one of my all time favorite trolls of the whiners. “Ahhhh you want a cookie”. Even better that it went way over the head of most of them.
I say this with all sincerity, and I cannot emphasize this enough, the S3 Vault system deserves every single milliliter of negativity it is receiving. I have never seen any system implemented in any game ever that deserves negativity and outright bald faced unrelenting criticism as much as this Vaulttrap cancer, and I defy anyone with a functional brain to feel otherwise.
I currently have a level 56 Hardcore Rogue and I am enjoying the season so far. I just got a legendary Governing stone that is called Impale and well, my Seneschal is actually holding it’s own now. It also helps in relation to my build type.
Plus, I do a variety of different activities. I don’t just do Nightmare Dungeons. So far, I have done side quests, dungeons, cellars, (Which I ran into the Butcher in a set space that was nostalgic to his Diablo 1 fight. Literally, I got to one V one the Butcher for the first encounter of him during this season. I had to run so I didn’t die. But it was very nostalgic.
You are seeing the same <10k people complain across the forums and other forms of social media. This game likely has between 500k and 2m unique people play during each season. People are exponentially more likely to complain about something, rather than go out of their way to compliment something. It’s called a vocally loud minority.
I don’t have a problem with the season at all. Except for some lag/bug issues.
I am tired of the negativity myself…and it pushes me more and more to defend what the dev’s are trying to do when all I hear is negativity about something I like.
I don’t know…
If the developers keep changing the game to TRY to suit people and probably not gonna even be a Diablo game anymore.
Best thing people can do about this game if they don’t like it is just to NOT Play it and move on- and stop complaining about it on the forums…but that’s highly unlikely anyway.
i suspect the negativity comes, apart from legitimate dislike of the trap feature from people who expected something else for s3, more interesting ( which is totally understandable, i myself expected better stuff ), well comes from the fact that many people tried to run the vaults without movement speed.
Then they got caught in traps, got roasted cause they were slow and had an awfull experience.
Then came here and said " traps are boring, s3 is awfull etc… ".
it was the same thing with aoz. Some went there with 4.5k armor and no dr, low dmg etc … , get roasted and instead of trying to look at what’s wrong with their build they came here to say " aoz is garbage, s2 was great untill now you ruined it etc … ".
You need an extra easy game where stuff, skill and build don’t matter much and also superpowers day1 for those .
Not saying everybody is like that, but, reading some posts, i’m starting to wonder if some people here even understand that for traps easy deal you need walkspeed.
it’s not rocket science, i mean, it’s the basic. if you’re slow you’ll always get caught.
Lets be realistic here, why would people praise a bad game?
The Art is Good, the sound is good, the gameplay is rubbish.
If you brought a bad meal or rotten fruit at the supermarket you would probably say something, these forums are no different.
Customers letting the people they paid money too their complaints.
I see a game that is moving in the wrong direction, a dev cycke that is not listening to a vast part of its playerbase…and you know what? It’s just not fun to play in many respects.
You say its improving, well, I think D4 is disconnected from the series and really doesn’t deserve the title it has. I have seen very little evidence that this is going to change.
Paying full price for a game thats still brokwn after almost a year isnt ungreatful hahahaha
The game is just not fun there is no point in trying to defend it every time they do a patch sum thing gets more screwed up it’s two steps forward and 4 steps back!
boosting companions impact, making it easier to lvl up runes and the season will be fine, the game really needs the new itemization asap, and once thats done they can then introduce runewords, sets or things in of this nature, until then things are going to feel off in my opinion, would also like to see new events/mechanics in NM Dungeons, maybe have the monsters that spawn out of the nightmare portals to drop runes to make runewords etc…
could be cool to see runewords for our mercenaries , and maybe sets for our characters at some point, could be sick
The negativity always ratchets out of control even if there is an actual reason to feel negatively about something. Usually it looks like some sort of social hysteria because the streamers that play 12-16 hours a day have a bad time, in part due to just how much they play and wearing out mechanics ahead of schedule, and then their disappointment rubs off on others such that it manifests in really extreme ways.
I can’t say I was super excited about this season. In fact, I’m still not, but some of the reactions to it have been pretty hyperbolic. If a guy tells you he stopped playing the season at lvl10 and it’s trash, you know his opinion is irrelevant because he never even meaningfully engaged with the content he’s trashing. ![]()
I played D2R. I played D3. D4 is clearly better than both of them, I am from an entirely different dimension from the whiny children on this forum. I just can’t get in the headspace of someone who plays D2R today with it’s archaic obnoxious flaws and D3’s skilless mindless combat and lame atmosphere and yet somehow D4 is trash to them. D2R are fans blinded by nostalgia and D3 fans are fans of the worst Diablo in the series. No one is even trying to be objective about this.
I don’t understand why we have to be positive when the game launch was early, the code is broken, the dupes are every season, the seasons are mediocre.
You paid money to a game and you have every reason to be critical and negative if it is negative.
Sorry, but I respect who are though.
Just like you enjoy the game and feel positive about it, there are many people who feel depressed and cheated by blizzard over and over and over again.
So stop trying to control how people feel about the game and enjoy your amazing fun season.
Depressed over a game is silly and you’ve only yourself to blame if you’re “cheated” over and over again. Fool me once shame on you…etc. D4 released in a more complete and better state than D2 or D3. Basic fact. It had a paragon system and endgame. It had 120 unique dungeons and a proper endgame boss. Neither D2 or D3 had ANY of that day 1.
Why do you have to take 1 word so seriously in that whole context.
Can’t you see that I’m not on a personal depression because D4 is so bad, it’s just a way to express frustration about the consecutive bad decisions.
It’s so hard to talk to people
D2 and D3 was never in a worse state than D4, they were equally bad. Just because you remember them very dearly, doesn’t mean that they were worse. Problems are relative to their own timeframes.
120 unique dungeons, kek
It’a hard to tell tone in text at times. Throw in a wink or an lol or an “I’m only half serious”. lol I can’t read your mind. It’s ok to care about gaming I do too but if you’re implying it has a massive impact on your mood without an indication otherwise it means you have deeper issues. Caring about things is good but gaming is a luxury don’t let it consume you is my point. The issue is I am a big gamer myself and frequent several gaming forums and I can’t tell what is satire and what is real at this point lol.
