Is anyone seriously spending irl $ on cosmetics?

My biggest 2 complaints about the cosmetics:

  • The idea of tattoos is nice, but in the case of the (male) rogue the look is destroyed by the non hideable big leathercollar around the neck & shoulders

  • Every armor skin looks like a skirt. Weapon skirt here weapon skirt there weaponskirt everywhere. Long skirt, short skirt. Robe-skirt, skirt-skirt, etc… i guess you get what i mean.

hidding no. 3:

  • mountskins. Plenty of animals available. Horses, Horses and ofc horses. Would be nice to ride an ugly/ferocious hell beast or a black panther mount with poison dripping from the fangs, or camels with spit dripping from the mouth, or druids in their fluffy form.

Haven’t even opened the shop, and never will…

everything in the shop is totally overprized! A skinpack for 25 euros, that you can only wear on 1 class?? Pretty weird, considering that when you unlock transmogs on your barb, you automatically unlock them on all classes, because somehow they fit on them and then also look differently on them. This logic doesnt apply to the shop cosmetics though…

Also the shop cosmetics are for the most part reskins of whats already in the game.

So no i wont buy them. PLus the game already costed full price.

If at least the BP and this live service would give us awesome new content, but Blizz failed to deliver here as well.

I bought Mother’s Embrace for my Necro. It looks better than Battle Pass cosmetic and it looks amazing in Gold/Red/Steel color pallet.

exactly who cares.

If they enjoy the money spent, idc.

Why on earth did anyone spend a cent on DI, they bought a pass and then quite.

At least this game is a game.

Wish they were cheaper so more people could afford them if they wanted.

Only reason i wouldn’t is the game for me has not earnt it, the rough edges, direction once i know this , i will be more inclined, maybe S3 S4. see how its going.

But if some does rn idc. hope the items make them happy.

I wish the raised by wolves set applied to all classes i wanted it for my druid. Shame.

Also PoE comes out with some really cool cosmetics, Animations and effects. Blizzard might want to take a sneak peek and get some inspiration.

It’s pretty clear that the leftovers making this game only play mobile games.

First sets looked horrible. Latest new outfits looking better. Problem is activision-Blizzard is greedy. About 25€ for ONE full set are they really out of their mind? I can afford any or all sets if i wanted but that much for each set that is usable only on ONE class except sometimes weapon types is just insane. Also the game is not looking good for at least a year so even less reason to give them more money until they prove themself.
Why would i buy so expensive cosmetic items if there is problem keeping active players around right now.

If the game was good and had longevity, I’d probably eventually spend some money on it. As is, are you kidding?

Considering that first and foremost, none of my characters will ever wear a helmet, the options then are severely lackluster. I’ve been rocking “etched” set on my necro and I really like the way it looks. Have also wore the basic basic set aka the one called “tunic” “gloves” “pants” “boots” etc. It really isn’t bad either. Then there’s the metallic armors that I’ve got from crushing legendarys. To me those look about on par with anything in the shop if I want to move up from basic.

I feel like the stuff in the shop is either not any flashier than the average legendary (I already have a decent skull helmet even), but on the other hand elements of it can feel overdone.

A basic necro outfit out of dark cloth with potions and skulls hanging off it is pretty cool. One that makes you look like an actual glowy undead with tons of bones and/or demon horns, not nearly as much as one might think.

I will say this, however. If they ever 50% off them I might, might, buy something that we haven’t seen yet for $12.50. That’s the only way I ever bought any cosmetics in wow, so I won’t say I wouldn’t do it again even if nothing I’ve encountered so far seems even worth 12.

I own a battlepass and i am usualy the type of person that is willing to spend a few $ on cosmetics or even quite a lot more $ on stuff like stash tabs and QoL things like in POE.

Here in Diablo 4 i havent spend a single buck so far — i mean 2800 Plat (is that the currency?) for a cosmetic set ? That translates into 28 Euros in a “70 Euro initial cost game”… yes sure.
