Hi. I’m wondering if going for +37 item contribution to Rend is worth it? It is theoretically possible to do so with masterworking and a lot of luck, using Heir of Perdition (+7 Core) / Ring of Starless Skies (+7 Core) / Banished Lord Talisman(+7 Core) / Ring of the Ravenous (+8 Rend) and Rend GA gloves (+8 Rend). Has anyone tried it?
Right now I only got +8 item contribution in total and it sucks a ton. I was able to get to WT3 with my current setup but it’s really rough at the moment. The balancing this season kind of really sucks imo so I might swap out for a meta build to go farm out the gear I need in WT4 just to go back and try out the build I wanted to play this season. But is it worth the effort to do so? Like surely a skill with +37 item contribution cannot suck, right?

When looking at the skill, the initial hit is 25% damage and the bleed damage is 120%. Every point you add to the skill increases by 3% and 12%, so at rank 5 it does 35% and 168%.
If you have +37 from skills, this means your initial hit would do 146% and bleed is 612% which is approx 5x damage from the rank one skill. So, just have one rank in the skill to see damage and then multiply it by 5 to get an idea on how strong it would be.
I understand that but I’m trying to see if anyone else has gone with this build and if they think it’s worth the effort and the grind. Right now it seems really underwhelming but obviously mine is nowhere near maxxed out. I want to know if the journey is even worth it or if I’m working towards another disappointment.
Rend by itself? Not so much. If you use Ravenous, you can build Power Kick (Core Skill) with Berserk Ripping and your Ravenous will apply 2 Max Rank Rend’s to the target on top of the DD and Bleed double-dipping. This is really fun to play and does decently in The Pit.
