Damn and i thought barb’s hellhammer sucked. I do more burning damage on a barb than a sorc xD
But… Exploit Glyph exists, which guarantees vuln. So if the damage is that high, if they vuln, should they not die in 3 seconds?
My WW barb is one shooting the trash mobs in T70. Sorc is doing more damage than WW Barb, so with exploit…
This is quoted for truth. 75 is the limit for viable completion right now.
The game is extremely well balanced because almost all builds can do it on every class.
It seems bad because there is content available above that, but that’s really the WTV limit, which comes with power improvements.
Sorc Exploit Glyph doesn’t grant Vulnerability, only +damage to vulnerable targets.
As far as i’m aware our only sources of Vulnerability are:
- Flickering Forst Bolt, hitting frozen target makes them vulnerable.
- Destructive Ice Shards, if you hit in one cast a single target with all five shards.
- Greater Frozen Orb: 30% on explosion to make target vulnerable (frozen always become vulnerable)
- Mystical Frost Nova: Targets hit by it becomes vulnerable
- Ice Blades: 40% to make target vulnerable
There is an aspect: When you freeze a target, it has 35% chance to become vulnerable.
Looks like you are a troll.
Been working on my incin build for a while and got it to 75nm.
d4builds.gg/builds/a3a26a9d-4eef-4bdc-ad33-49976c25b254/
Got a video? Those enchantments seem questionable.
There’s a wee clip on the d4build page. Hydra is there because it carries the build’s damage the higher NM tier you go. Firewall helps with AOE clearing and keeps the room burning.
So what the point in Incenerate?
Just pick other useless skill which apply burning because of enchantment slot and you done = same result.
Hydra is bugged now with scaling to NM dungeon level. So you can use fireball or firewall or … with hydra with the same result. Its not about incenerate.
I mean this cannot be proof that Incenerate build is okay. Its not.
Yeah its just playstyle i guess. I was sick of spamming firewalls and haven’t tried fireball yet. Incin gives added 20%dr as well which is noticeable.
Just want to give an update on this build after the big patch. This build was nearly non effected after nerf patch since it doesnt use crit and it got some dmg buffs.
It still underperforms overall compared to metas and survivability has dropped a little bit with patch but overall dps is very similar to prior to the patch. I would say survivability has dropped roughly 10% but I can still do 20 level difference fairly effectively. My build does not use that much DR gear which is probably why i did not notice much of a difference.
I thought I saw in the patch they fixed an issue with mana being spent immediately on cast rather and per second. That initial mana cost has been removed. seems like a huge buff to the build.
Is the playstyle enjoyable? Seems like standing still is asking for death.
Yes, this mana buff/fix frees up a stat from mana replenish stats on the items since my mana is basically infinite naturally now.
The playstyle is fun imo and tanky but very slow, however once you kill 1 minion the rest fall pretty shortly after because of fireball enchant doubles combustion dmg.
There are some minor modifications needed because of the patch but overall still efficient, tanky, and overall a fun meme build. I may try it again for the new season.
And the unique flamscar is now BIS for weapon.
I can confirm that is likely exactly what happened. I was told there was lots of turmoil in the Diablo 4 development.
Yeah it seems like the current team doesn’t actually know how the previous team was building the game and are only able to edit database entries for the most part.
I haven’t played Sorc yet, but that video showcase (The first one) was more thrilling than anything that came out on Netflix recently lol Those HP drops and CC situations were super scary
Ice blades provides lame levels of vulnerability.
You get chill and freeze, and the “lightning torrent” mechanic as easy, as other elements can get your burn.
The problem is, that vulnerable is seperate, and has no real equivalent from othere elements.
Vulnerable is a all class mechanic, and classes with easy access to it, outshine builds and other classes, who have no easy access to it.
And your “easy” vulnerable “ice blade” as single target boss vulnerable got pre release so hard nerfed, that is hard to maintain.
