I took a break shortly after launch to let the game cook for awhile, and I am enjoying the revamped loot system. That said, I’m disappointed yet not surprised that the best way to find a PUG ingame is still asking during the World Boss, lol. I doubt that such a feature is even on their to-do list, but it’s still a touch disheartening.

diablo immortal has more social features than this game… when u jump in a dungeon u can party find right away… its insane

while more social in game options are for sure desirable, im pretty sure you could find a group to play with, seeing that you can use the forum for example.
when a moba verison of a game has more features than its PC variant, you know that company got probs and I mean big probs.

and yet a bigger community than the competitors? i mean, im not saying d4 is perfect. but heck its for sure the best arpg right now. poe2 got delayed due to d4 btw as they are adjusting things to compete. (which is great btw, i wish d4 did the same, as it honestly got released too early)
agree… i always add random ppl to my party to pray they will stay and do some NM dungeons with me xD
there’s no way its the best arpg at the moment, last epoch is way better, they literally stole their forge mechanic lol…
oh you forgot LE stole that mechanic from another game, cause guess what, arpgs exist since quite some time.
anyway, i like aspects of LE, i really do. but this game is pretty much dead right now and now even a new cycle couldnt fix that. i mean heck, in times were a d4 season ends, it has more or the same amount of players on steam as le. difference being, the people playing d4 on steam are the minority and not a part in the 10m copies being sold.
but hey, we all enjoy different things, if you enjoy le, have your fun?

Well let’s look at some facts, it took them 2 seasons to ‘fix’ resistances. It took them nearly a year to change Itemization. Who knows what we’ll have in another year? Just saying the fact there isn’t an LFG system in game shouldn’t shock anyone at this point. It’ll disappoint people sure, but shock? Nah.
Also it’s definitely on their list, they just can’t give us anything concrete about what they plan to do about it just yet. They like to play the safe card or people will complain it isn’t exactly like they said it would be.

So much this. Somehow an antiquated game like Diablo 2 with their Lobby system has a better method of Grouping and Trading than their brand-new shiny multi-million dollar new-gen of the very same IP.
- Diablo 4 is the Cybertruck of the franchise.
- Diablo Immortal is the newly rebranded “X”
- Diablo 3 is a wonky Model S Plaid Tesla that occasionally bursts into flames and slams into concrete barriers but they finally worked out most of the problems (with the exception of some glaring issues). Or is it Elon’s own personal Tesla that got launched into space as a publicity stunt and cash grab (RMAH lol).
- Diablo 2 is the Tesla Roadster. Popularized Electric Vehicles and is pretty cool, but antiquated. Nostalgia is is better than reality.
- Diablo 1 is that prototype EV1 which introduced the engineering of an entire genre. I mean, it wasn’t super successful by commercial means but it spawned a legacy.

Fair points. I was actually wondering about elemental resistance when I started NM runs tonight - I suddenly remembered it used to be that base armor had better elemental damage reduction by a ridiculous degree. So is Resistance actually worthwhile now? (For an Elixir if nothing else). Regardless, I knew going in that I was buying a beta, with no guarantee it would last long enough to improve. Maybe basic social functions will be added this year. (Here’s to hoping, as I really am enjoying the return).
As a clan leader, I can tell you the LFG -AND- clan social features are lacking… Heck, I can’t even tell if the 100+ people have EVER been online since they joined or not. The dev for this must have been re-tasked to getting coffee or something.

shouldn’t have to. It’s 2024 and terrible games in 2000 had LFG. This the only reason I cam back to these forums to see whats broken, and if there is LFG. I’m now leaving again.

i mean lfg aka looking for group, doesnt need a special tool. do you want a group? if so, why not just ask? like honestly, the forum is a great place to meet likeminded people for groups. i for sure cant complain.

LFG in WoW is an absolute horror show. People spend most of their energy and concentration hilariously intentionally messing up mechanics and being super weird and passive aggressive in chat. You can’t even trust people not to be corrupt in battle royale games.
The group based multiplayer game grand experiment has come and gone. You are literally masochistic if you try to group with strangers in 2024 and are not part of the incel discord mafia.
lol, grouping via lfg in wow can be a horror, i cant tell you how many m+ dungeons failed, even tho everyone “should” know what to do ^^
