If your favorite "S tEoiR" streamer build got nerfed on maxroll

it is? tell me how high is your IQ?

Nothing about your build matters unless you’re lvl 100 clearing 100s.

sounds like you dont know what fun is. sad really

I just destroyed a level 1000 dungeon naked with chicken bone.

S tier on the fun-o-meter

Maybe part of the issue is that some players aren’t looking to ā€œspamā€ dungeons and aren’t playing 16+ hours a day to speed through the game as quickly as possible. I can see for those that do that using ā€œpre-madeā€ builds that don’t require a lot of extra effort to be good can be very helpful to completing the game ASAP. Just build and go - you are obviously very talented players to speed through all this content so quickly, including all the higher world tiers.

I don’t have that mentality, personally (not saying that’s right or wrong, it’s just my approach). I’ve played all the Diablo games, but I might only play a few hours at a time after work or maybe a half day here or there when my schedule allows. I’m in it for the single player discovery and adventure. I don’t care how long it takes me to complete the story. I’m not racing anyone and it isn’t a competition (in my eyes). I still busted out D3 every once in a while just to enjoy the dungeon crawling until the D4 betas rolled around and I could try this one out. Now D3 is relegated to the dust heap and is likely not going to be played again and I’ll play the heck out of D4 for the next 7-10+ years. Beating Ashava a couple times was fun during the early beta/server slam and I look forward to doing it again soon.

I like the barbarian character in general over the various game iterations but have never played a WW version. I personally like using a big hammer smash most of the time. :grinning: So, I’ll do it my own way and just enjoy what I create - who knows, they may nerf that as well at some point. I don’t really care if my personal build is on some ā€œtierā€ or if I can’t complete a dungeon as quickly as others. My character doesn’t need to be a carbon copy of someone else’s just to ā€œget through content fasterā€. Why play a character that you don’t really enjoy the playstyle of? I’ve played through the entire stories of the various game iterations with my own character creations and enjoyed them along the way.

Heck, I intentionally bought the standard version of the game because I figured it would give Blizzard a bit of time to sort out the teething issues that invariably come with a game like this (connection issues, character balancing, environment or dungeon fixes - all of which are ongoing, apparently). I can easily afford to buy the Ultimate version, but I don’t care about starting a few days earlier - I’m likely playing this game for 7+ years, and I’m going to explore every nook and cranny. What difference does 4 days make? Why pay an extra 40±% for a game that is a single player adventure? That’s like subscribing to Disney+ to watch all the Marvel flicks over the next year or two - would you pay extra to get an extra couple days for the existing month or would you just wait a couple days for the next month to begin? There’s no benefit for me (and others) to pay extra to start a couple days early.

I don’t care about a horse cosmetic. I don’t care about seasons. I don’t care about clans or PvP. I don’t care about purchasing cosmetic costume packs or rushing out to buy chicken sandwiches for a cosmetic sword. I won’t spend a dollar on any of that. When the expansion packs come out with more world/story content and/or additional playable characters I’ll gladly plunk down the $$$. But I won’t pay for the stuff that doesn’t matter. Because it doesn’t matter. I’m tossing D3 aside to play D4. Do I care if my D3 character had some chicken sword cosmetic or not? No. And at some point D4 will go by the wayside when D5 rolls around.

I’ll beat the single-player story game with each different class at some point just to do it, just like I did with D3. But I’ll build what I want to use/see and work through it with that. For me it is fun to build a character I WANT to play, not what some spreadsheet says is the best to play today (possibly to be nerfed tomorrow, as you all know can happen and should have seen this specific one coming a mile away). That’s because I am not trying to be ā€œsuper-efficientā€ - I’ll be playing for years, not just a week or two. And so will at least most of you.

So I get it, you speed freaks (using the term in a positive way here, as that kind of ā€œproductionā€ in the game can be impressive!) want to blow through as quick as possible because that is how you want to play or get bragging rights, or whatever. But not everyone (heck, maybe not even the majority, I don’t know!) plays that way. The fun for me is in the world exploration and crafting your individual characters that you enjoy seeing and playing on the screen. All the other stuff just doesn’t matter to me.

I realize that some will probably try to insult my approach - whatever, I don’t care. It’s a freaking game. Play it however you like! I’m truly sorry if you invested some hours into it and feel like the rug got pulled out from underneath your feet a couple days after the early release (or whatever it was). The good news is you still have years to play and enjoy this game! Take this opportunity to customize the character in a different way and keep moving forward. Look at it as a challenge to work around, just like battling a tough world boss. If necessary, change your approach to get the win. It can be done!

If nothing else, I’m sure that some website will shortly have an updated character ā€œpathā€ you can follow to keep blazing through!

I’ll be following along, probably months behind you, but I’ll be enjoying it just like you did. Only slower, and stopping to smell the roses along the way (and, apparently, eating the petals is also required). :grinning:

If you sell 2 dungeon runs instead of salvaging u’ll have enough to respec your lvl 30 char 20 times.

I mean WW Barb is not something that is owned by maxroll/streamers it is a very common build that people tend to play.

When I bought the game I went in saying Id play a WW Barb before even looking into build guides.

Autistic doesnt mean stupid bro :skull::skull::skull:

You guys are talking about builds in a game that has, like…0 variability. Anyone and their donkey can come up with the same build all the streamers are using.

Go play poe and create your own build and I’ll laugh at how sh** it is

the issue with poe is the game itself is as you describe

manure

gee whizz why didnt we all think of this

i got my bash builder and doubleswing spender
i gawt mah charge and leap too!
look at me go!

If I have to make my own build, how will I be able to complain and bicker on the forums? Come on, man!
