If you don't like D4

Not at all, just didnt break the game for me. I can think of a lot worse like an Auction house or a launch with RMT’s becuase items are tradable. or having to play the campaign for every cahr I roll ( looking at your PoE lol ). Im just saying even with its blimishes its still solid AF easy 8/10. sky isnt falling becuase some people got Shako’s. just my op <3

You really complain about everything dont you. I bet you’re miserable to be around lol.

-What itemization problems are you having?

-My stash is fine, if you’re full then you’re keeping garbage gear for no reason, you shouldn’t have more than 2 of each aspect. Are you playing every class or something?

-Armor is fine? Resistances they already talked about, honestly it’s easier to not worry about it, they should just remove it IMO. Stack armor, DR, Life and you’re good to go.

-End game is an opinion. I have 400 hours on my rogue and still have fun grinding, Diablo is literally a dungeon grinding game, guessing you didn’t play D3 much?

-Uniques are fine, you don’t “need” them super rares for any build.

-Bad menus? Like what? I’ve no issues with any menu

-No search bar? I mean that would be nice, but not going to cry over it, just manage your stash better

-Global chat - that would be cool

  • Party info - what info do you need?

  • How is the quest UI fine, it literally has a giant blue mark on your screen when you click a quest, go there and there’s a blue circle on your mini map

You’re literally just crying to be crying, uninstall

I wish man I’m 40. played the heck outa D2. there was no real gold sink in D2 other then the gamble vendors. I still picked up a lot of items/charms however. just side bit and I’d love your OP but do you feel like holding D4 to the same standard as D2 is fair? D2 is the GOAT of ARPG’s i never expected (with a team much different then orignal D2 team ) a better game then D2, is that weird?

Unique items suck.

You hit level 70-75 and have the best items you’ll have all game, other than maybe a 2% overall increase if you min/max until level 100.

An item’s IP scales based on the level of the person picking it up, simply because the devs are lazy and too inept to create level reqs for specific stats/traits.

Many people get stuck in an eternal loop of only finding the same 3-4 uniques, indefinitely, and can never find a unique that is actually super common for others playing the same class, because it randomly falls into their 3-4 item bucket they find endless copies of.

Then you aren’t refining and trying different builds, which is astonishing, since there’s nothing else in this game to do.

Is that so? Please go through the math with us and explain to us why it’s fine.

Some people enjoy eating feces for days on end, while others have a single taste and want an actual meal. Just because you’re the latter, doesn’t mean everyone else is.

D3 was/is a bad game, it just had a perfectly dialed itemization for the first 3-4 days that smoothly scaled with the player level and game difficulty. Many D3 players are saying it was much better than D4, which is entirely wrong imo, but I get where they’re coming from. The smooth progression and itemization perfectly scaled to that progression was quite effective.

Wrong. The rogue gantlets offer a 16% damage increase, while one stat on blue gauntlets – 15% crit chance – offer a 60% damage increase if you have 400% crit damage. When the unique chase item for that slot is outdone by a single stat on a blue item, something is seriously wrong.

The rogue’s unique helm offers 25% lucky hit, and literally nothing else even remotely useful, while I can have huge defense and damage increases on literally any other item-type for that slot whether it’s blue, rare, or legendary.

Unique itemization is the worst in this game. I can’t think of any ARPG that has done it worse.

All of this is just icing on the poo-cake, and he didn’t even list the lag, bugs, or simple oversights, like including glyphs in the rogue’s kit that literally have no effect when used, lol.

It must be nice to have such a simple, enjoyable, directed-by-others, sort of perspective. But for the rest of the world, especially those of us with ARPG experience, this game just doesn’t cut it.

Do you play the game at all? Or do you really not notice anything like that? The limitation to 4 mods, hardly any meaningful and creative mods like AOE for example, reroll costs, despite high level completely unnecessary normal and sacred items on 90+ characters, vulnerable and CDR that everyone has to use…

How can you defend something like that? And if I play each class and would like to have two builds with each class… That would be just as little of your business

Everyone who is 80+ and plays around with his build and eventually puts things aside and god forgive even thinks about a second build already has the tabs full

So such a NONSENSEFUL answer can only be heard from fanboys

yeah, wow. Resistances were discussed. Something like that doesn’t stand out in 10 years of production.
And Armor is fine? Armor is so broken that EVERY class AND build MUST rely 100% on Armor. Because it is not only strong at Phys but also Ele damage.

If there is nothing to do, it is not an opinion.
So simply grind NMs senselessly is endgame of a triple A title? Congratulations. Every gacha game from China offers more

Uniques are a joke.
There are hardly any useful ones. Some are mandatory for some classes or builds. Some are so rare that you can only get them through bugs. Super system

Unbelievable how blindly some people play this game… so… strange.

open your skill tree. Set it to big.
Now open your inventory to see the stats while changing skills… oops. Gone.
You can only open 1 menu at a time.
Oh one more thing. Your skill tree menu is also reset. It opens Paragon in small again.

Why?

How about info on quests or helltide progress of my teammate? Little things that have been in games for 30 years.

okay… you are a troll

Meh, first you arguing with an absolute forum troll. I have him ignored.

Second, I hard disagree with you about D3 is/was bad. It’s an excellent game these days.

You clearly haven’t played many arpgs have you?

i didn’t expect it to be on D2’s level, but I expected it to be close

how long did they work on this? 10 years? lol

did anyone from D4 play their own game to 100, trying the world bosses, nightmare sigils, etc.

i played this game for 3 weeks and noticed a ton of things wrong with the endgame

but it’s like their developers said, if you don’t like the endgame just go play another game

just a bunch of money-grubbers with the Blizzard name and no talent

Yeah, I disagree with all of the 20 people who kept playing D3 for 3-4 days at a time at the beginning of each season.

D3 was an absolute atrocity. It played more like a race car simulator than an ARPG, and a ton of the threads I saw in the first two weeks after release, D3 players claimed D4 was too hard and the paragon board was too complicated, lol.

D3 honestly never should have happened. I personally prefer D4 over D3, but that isn’t saying much at all.

I hated D3 with a passion, and I’ll standby that position and what Jay Wilson did to the series is unforgivable. With that being said, you have very reasonable takes on here with regards to d4 and you always debate from a sensible place. You are 100% entitled to your opinion of D3, I’m glad you found it enjoyable.

I have to agree here. He seems to be an experienced ARPG player and it seems I agree with him regarding mechanics, basically 100%.

For some reason we just massively disagree on D3, lol, which is fine. We don’t need to agree on D3 when we agree that D4 needs massive improvements.

There’s plenty of people playing D3 now. It’s a great game, and certainly better than this abomination.

You can see the irony of bashing a game senselessly right? I trust you’ve never beaten a GR150 solo in Diablo 3? There’s no racecar there.

I don’t think D3 is perfect; I have a few qualms with it. But, it is really a solid ARPG these days. I don’t care about the launch or w/e. One could argue the only time is NOW, and now it is solid.

In the same respect that you guys want to bash D3 with no real constructive feedback, that is how the white knights here perceive your posts. Although, I personally think they are highly medicated or something to think D4 is good right now - that’s unbelievable.

I just can’t agree with this statement. It’s an action game with barebones rpg.

Wouldn’t that make it an… ARPG? Lol

It’s like barely there at all though. I don’t know man, I’m glad you enjoyed it I guess haha.

those things are wildly different in scope for fixing.

the helltide thing was brand new code implemented that day that was the issue. it was easy to isolate and fix.

druid loot tables were likely way harder to isolate, since the person working on that code likely isnt even with blizzard anymore.

resistances are likely still unknown as to why it doesnt work. like, i doubt they have any idea, and fixing it will take quite some time.

not that i like blizzard or the game, im just letting you know how these things usually work.

sounds like they should hire some real developers instead of interns and cinematics people

Well, there are twice as many people on D2R, and if you factor D2LoD + all the private, modded servers, there’s really no comparison.

It’s fine you enjoyed D3. In fact, I will say, D3 has an extremely refined game progression where all systems worked in tandem, and it was great in that regard. The combat was amazing, too, realistically.

But I don’t senselessly bash it. Honestly, it was so entirely different from past Diablo titles, it really felt like an entirely different game. From the cartoony, silly graphics and happy-go-lucky story where angels and people frolic through fields of flowers and live happily ever after, all the way to the pinball machine type graphics flashing giant numbers in your face like a slot machine in a casino “Winner!!! Winner!!! Winner!!! Big Money!!!”

On top of that, the itemization was just as bad as D4. You could have a fully geared character 3-4 days after starting the game from scratch. There was no longevity. Further, the game was just easy as pie. You never had to use any real tactic, worry about positioning, or worry about distancing and timing.

To top it all off, Jay Wilson purposefully insulted and degraded the player base through out the entire development process.

I don’t mindlessly bash D3, it really shouldn’t have been a Diablo game, since it was entirely different in every way. The people who defend D3 are actually part of the reason D4 sucks.

i dont know, maybe, maybe now, i have no idea, what i know is that

“well you dug a hole to plant a cactus in an hour, so i dont get why you cant dig a 25 foot deep well in an hour” is a silly question.
