If I am paying for an offering, then that should guarantee that I get one that is ancestral

in the developer update, they showed a video of the kurast undercity, and the guy used the ancestral tribute and paid 50M to guarantee that the IF an amulet dropped, then it would have a passive on it. They were on T2, and got full attunement (full rewards) and received 3 ancestral items, and a non-ancestral amulet. the amulet should have been ancestral, its seems real crappy to do all the work and end up with the one piece of gear that you wanted being unusable for end game.

Your acting like you cant make a billion gold an hour. Guaranteed anything is so anti-arpg and honestly shouldnt be a thing.

how exactly do you make a billion gold an hour?

Inferno horde T8

Well I guess it was more 300 mil/hr but still. 50 mil is chump change now

which has changed in VoH and who knows how much gold T4 is going to offer

You must have missed the part where Non-Ancestral items can be upgraded to rank 8 Masterworking, and can now be Tempered twice. GA items, just as they are now, will be for perfecting your gear to take on T4 and much more difficult content like the higher Pit tiers.

I didn’t miss it.

like I said, end game

that made my day. one of my biggest concerns was early endgame and not really having the power to move into the harder tiers to get better chances at the best items. This was absolutely my favorite thing they announced

That’s not endgame that’s bragging rights. You can complete all content within the game at Torment 1. The only thing you won’t be able to complete is higher tiered Pits, which again is for bragging rights.

If you want to actually complete the Pit you’re going to have to put in the work. Just like every ARPG out there.

also the offering only guarantees one passive, there are a lot of passive options for amulets, and then you also want to consider that you more thank likely want a GA on the passive, so you are still going to spend a ton of time farming this to get one thats close to perfect.

I disagree, I think T4 is end game. and pushing to the highest pit level will be bragging rights

That is not how they expressed their vision as the creators. They said they consider all torment end-game and every torment tier has access to all content and rewards, and t3/t4 is for people who really want to be challenged and get more efficiency in effort to reward ratios.

I mean you can disagree all you want, it’s what the devs just stated on stream. Now you can make up your own goals, that’s fine, but it doesn’t change how the devs made the game. Regardless if you want the best gear in the game it’s going to take some work. Good luck to you.

did you watch the devs play the game in the past? they were not good. of course they think that torment is end game

that is what I would consider end game. I pushed pit 100 on the PTR and it was a cake walk. The new T4 is going to be equivalent to the PTR pit 80, so if PTR pit 100 was a cake walk, and the updated T4 is only PTR pit 80, then what do you think the new T4 is going to be? (I’ll give you a hint, its still going to be a cake walk, its just going to be harder to reach to start.)

if you think high pit is still going to be a cake walk you weren’t paying attention :stuck_out_tongue:

I am trying to get the best amulet in like 100-200 runs, instead of 3000-4000 runs

remember this a week after the expansion has launched, and people are farming high pit tiers

Eh, if you think anything in D4 that is not a cake walk at any given moment, won’t be a cake walk soon after when Blizzard Power Creep™ destroys it, then you haven’t paid attention for decades.

haha, hell yeah!!!

Fair point it may well be if you are playing an S-tier meta and have all maxed out gear, but it seemed at least that they are making an effort to introduce some challenge. They said (and then quickly corrected themselves) that they didn’t really expect too many people to be reaching 100. Then they quickly followed up with the refrain of how much complexity was being introduced and that it would likely lead to unintended high dmg builds.

I hit 97 with subpar gear so i agree it was easy in PTR

As for live 200 has never been reached let alone being a cake walk so i’m not sure 100 in S6 live will be as easy as it was in PTR.

Did he maybe miss the part where they mentioned the example video “If we would pick up the amulet it would be having a passive on it” but they didn’t pick up the amulett, because it was just an example video of a run and not an example video of drops.

You all know what I mean? They showed the video of a run and said “if it was this run” but it clearly wasn’t the run where they chose the amulett passive.

Whatever. Since it was prerecorded they couldn’t pick up the amulet and if they would have picked up the amulett in that example it wouldn’t have had the passive rolled on it because it wasn’t activated for that run. Think that was a run with other offerings.

I don’t know what you are on about. I had no followers or all the added power creep on ptr.

Started a brand new character no Paragon. No cheat gear or glyphs and in 3 days a couple hours a day was blasting t4.

So if you can’t get to your so called endgame of t4 then that is on you!
