At this point , this actually ( and unfortunately) seems plausible.
Learning a new mechanic isn’t the problem. The problem is that the new mechanic simply doesn’t work consistently. Sometimes you enter the spire and monsters come rushing in or spawn inside the circle.
But other times, you enter the circle and nothing spawns nearby and monsters already on the board actively avoid the circle. You have to go to another area on the map to get the circle to “reset” before monsters will approach it. This is a real problem when you’re on a one minute timer.
Problem? Why? Because you only kill 900 mobs in one minute, instead of the usuals 10000???
Not a problem to me…
There’s more tides than sailors…
guys…guys…I was skipping spires also but after i understand how new infernal hordes model works, with some people who not blasting mindlessly we was doing 8 waves with 1000+ on average on T4…so get yourself together and try to understand how it works now, because spires are very rewarding xD
Sorry. Didn’t realize you were a troll just here to insult people and not actually here to discuss the issue. My bad.
Did i insult anybody?
Where?
Just because i have a different opinion from you i’m a “troll” and i’m “insulting” people?
This is a public forum, you know?
Grow up and get over it…
This right here. I hated them at first also but then actually picked everything spire related one run to trick the game into giving me something besides spires XD
I realized I was getting 50 aether for each one and spires kept popping out of masses . It was the first time Id managed bartuc and the extra 400 for the chest st the end.
Learn them! If you are getting 10 to 1 spires to other aether events you will be swimming in aether.
When you actually contribute a different opinion and not just belittle other people’s concerns, people will take you seriously. If you don’t consider spires an issue, they are many ways you can express that without “only got 900 kills instead of x” comments. Those aren’t constructive nor to they advance the conversation.
Spires are definitely a big issue. Yes, the change where mobs have to be in the circle sucks and does make it harder for ranged builds. But, the biggest reason is that a single spire can stay up for half to most of the wave due to mobs not spawning or coming into the circle…and this happens a LOT.
The Offer to pull in mobs definitely helps, but it is rarely seen. Even running a build that pulls mobs in only works if there are mobs near to pull in. Even with these, the spires still stay up for way too long and need to be fixed.
When there are no spires the monsters charge at you. As soon as spires spawn they become suspiciously timid. Almost as if by design.
Blizzard likes to make things bad on purpose so they can be given praise for fixing them in the future. It’s a fetish.
Awww yaaaa tell us what bad developers we are!!! Yaaa awww yaaa!!! Now we fixed it!!! Tell us what good boys we are now awwww yaaaa don’t stop!!!
And there are soooo many. It’s to the point where I’ll have 3 different soulspires active, all the monster spawns funneled toward one of them, then have a heck of a time trying to get the remaining monsters headed toward the next. It slows down progress way too much. I did a spires run in T1 that got me way more than a Hellborne run in T3. Seems like the wrong way to balance it if you ask me. A 10-wave T3 or T4 run where Bartuc isn’t an option just seems like getting your cheerios pissed in.
it isnt a problem cause you suck? then your opinion doesnt matter anyways cause you suck and dont know how to play the game.
I wanna know who in their right mind thinks it is fun to sit still for half your horde cause the enemies wont do anything. doing the events causes your next event to spawn and now they put an actual roadblock in the way. literally spent 28 seconds of a single wave sitting on the far side of a spire to not have anything spawn near me and whatever got close wouldnt enter the spire even if it meant not being able to attack me.
Hm, after getting the unique spire perk at wave 7 there was only 1 lonely spire showing up in the last 3 waves.
This was a disappointment.
I hate how much sense this makes
Cleared 1800 aether easy popping spires last run. Had them dropping 60 each time. No chaos wave, no goblins. Starting masses, starting spire, spires on masses, draining spires and less spires/precious spires. Didn’t even have a single faster aether events pick either.
Was easy.
When this happens, you need to go to another event and come back. This seems to “reset” the spire sonot functions normally. Just a stopgap until they fix the monster logic in infernal hordes.
you know what would make spires even more fun? Doors!
Yes, they should add the door mech to each spire that spawns so you have to open the door and let the demons in and then kill them inside the door and close the door to close the spire down after 100 demons died, oh the fun that would be
Spires can be biiiig good. If your build freezes or stuns everything remove that before going in. Then use vortex rune etc to collect monsters. Stack them spires!
Very few folks here understand what the issue is, so let me break it down:
Old behavior: You could stand in the circle and kill things outside it to get credit.
New behavior: Monsters need to enter the circle.
The problem: Ranged characters along with characters like necromancer/companion druid have issues because the mobs never really get close enough to kill.
This is absolutely a bug, it is a regression from the previous version, which was likely designed that way to solve this very issue, and Blizzard is likely going to fix it.
If you don’t think it’s a bug, try a minion necromancer out and get back to us.
