You have to get new gear anyway, now that Item Power 920 is introduced, so you might as well level up a Seasonal character with Season 2. Its 40% faster to level too.
I understand because I don’t like play seasons for same reason you have to rush through season in few months trying complete and achieve whatever is in the season, but if you are slow and not really getting enywhere on top of that season ends and your character just slides into eternal realm and you have to start a new one to try rush enjoying new season again, its kinda sad but I guess they couldn’t think other way about it…

season are trash. all they are for is keeping retention and player metrics up so daddy blizz can show their quarterly reports to shareholders.
not a single person that says they enjoy seasons has ever been able to explain why it is more beneficial to the player to always restart from scratch.
the classic braindead take of “fun cause everyone starts fresh together” is braindead cause some of us like to play solo

Long before daddy blizz was goofing around with stocks and ruining their reputation, people played ladder. I played Ladder in D2 until I found WoW back in late 2006. People don’t, at least I don’t, play ladder for game and player metrics. Those things weren’t even a big deal in d2 and d3. You could argue that’s what’s happening here in d4, but I wouldn’t extend that to all seasons past and future.
What I mean to say is, I hope you meant D4 seasons are trash, and blizz is farming d4 metrics for shareholder interests. I’d agree about d4, but it’s a flop anyways. At least at the moment.

GRANTED atleast in D3 you can blast to 70 and start end game in like 10 hrs…

Seems like that kind of audience the battle pass was created for. Sucks for you, cause seasonal content has the answer for you in the name.
I’ll typically get sick of the game after a while but once the new season starts coming around and they start releasing info on it I start to get hyped up again and I love everyone starting over again together. I understand we’re all not the same but I love the seasonal model.
Give it up, Diablo is a seasonal game.

Practically speaking, they are right to invite them somewhere else. And i get its important to try to change things but its one of those chose your battles.
I would also give up on this one and if a game breaker may need to move on.
We invite them to not play seasons. Because it looks like they are treating it as FOMO, which they aren’t.
They are just fun. They can stay in Eternal, they won’t miss much.
It’s okay to not have every cosmetic, not have every item, not participate in every season.
The world is not going to end.
A new planet earth is not forming.
And no you’re not gonna be in it.
