If you researched the game you’d see the dev’s repeatedly talked about how they wanted the pace to be somewhere between D2 and D3, meaning less density than D3 and more tactical than D3… you are saying the Dev’s did what they intended to.
D2 was not nearly as hard as people make it out to be, but D3 was arcade style and they wanted to step back from that, and I’m glad they did. You ‘should’ have to dodge and use tactics instead of facepalming you way through a fight just mashing buttons.
From my experience, you only really feel powerful levelling up after getting a big upgrade. As you hit endgame youll gear up but the enemies get much more tanky, which makes it feel like your getting either weaker, or any upgrade isnt noticable. Not sure if this is scaling or a missing element like paragon tree being fleshed out ect.
After all these posts I feel like I’m not playing the same game as everyone else. I’m level 71 with my rogue and I always felt like I was getting stronger. I’m deleting bosses 10-15 levels higher than me in seconds. Only time I ever really kited anything was when I jumped to T4 early ( level 58 )
Bosses should be bosses and if 5 minutes breaks you, you want loot pinatas not enemies worth facing. This really is the most ADD generation in history holy balls.
I finished the capstone at 58 and started T4. It was really tough though. I couldn’t do any events in the world solo. But I managed to farm some cinders and et some ancestral weapons. Within a few hours I was able to farm T4 no prob.
The real power I think is in unique items and filling out the paragon board. The first board at least gives out a lot of +stat along with damage, health and armor increases.
I think that’s a recommendation. I still haven’t done the capstone to do WT3 yet as I haven’t finished the campaign. Going to be at least level 51 (as I’m 3/4 through 50) by the time I get around to it.
Ohh ok. So constantly being OOM and having to run around long enough to get enough resource built up to be able to attack again is what makes a boss worth fighting? I thought that was called bad combat design. This is Diablo. When have bosses NOT been loot pinatas? At least previous Diablo games had the courtesy of giving you health and mana potions to give you a fighting chance.
Maybe true to unskilled players who need carry. But the Carrier… the one who Solo’d D2 without any help and reached Hell in a week could easily survive this D4 Nightmare and Torment.
They should put a level cap on the world tiers. In case people get “stuck” in a bad loop, at least that way you can farm some gear and not feel like the game is getting really hard at 92+.
when i click on your name, it shows me all the posts you have made, it breaks it down for me and displays what you type, and i can clearly see the overall message you’re trying to convey to everyone.
you love to go to any forums when anyone doesnt praise the game, and tell them the game isnt fun because of there low skill level. buddy… listen close.
the game gives you 6 skills, one of which takes mana, one that consumes mana, an ultimate that takes 45 seconds before you can use it again, and 3 random defensive cds generally, which are each around 20 seconds long. the skill ceiling of the game is literally on the floor. you have a literal minute in an action role playing game to figure out what youre going to do. id be willing to wager that very soon you will hit your midlife chrisis and you are so deperate to expierience the same thing you did in your teenage years during diablo 2.
noone who actually plays hard games would ever say that someone is bad at d4. ie; elden ring, valorant, csgo, league of legends, etx.
the game cant be as good as you preach, because you’re keeping these forums HOT trying to convince people the game is actually good.
you also love to act as if the builds that streamers created during there 200-500 hours of gameplay are always inferior to what you cooked up. dog, the skill tree was coded and created for boomers to understand with a few actual meaningful decisions with no layers of complexity. the best builds in the game have already been figured out for us because the game takes 5 minutes of reading the entirety of the skill tree/paragon boards to learn whats the best. stop gaslighting these folks who are pointing out obvious things.
