I either a) log into the game within 10 seconds, or b) get forever stuck, on the logging into diablo 4 screen, the one that happens after you start the game and after the splash screens. I usually see a message flash “Queued for login <1 minute”, then I get the screen “logging into Diablo IV” and it WILL NOT EVER LOG IN. It just freezes up. There’s no indication that anything is happening because the screen is frozen. The “cancel” & “exit” buttons do nothing because the screen is frozen. I usually lose patience after 5 minutes and just restart because I know if it doesn’t log in within a minute or so, IT NEVER WILL, and after restarting maybe once or twice or three times, it will sometimes instantly log in. At the time I am writing this post, I’ve been trying to log in for 45 minutes. Just to make sure I wasn’t being too impatient, I’ve not ctrl+alt+deleted and the screen has now been frozen for like 20 minutes (after getting the “queued for login < 1 min” message). This has been happening since I started playing the current season over a week ago. My only solution has been to ctrl+alt+delete over and over again and restart the game 10x to eventually connect. When it DOES connect, it always connects instantly.
As a side note, I get a metric ton of lag on D4 servers. I also play D3, and I get ZERO LAG & ZERO connection issues with D3. Why would I have no connection problems & no lag on D3, but can only connect to D4 servers 10% of the time, and with massive amounts of lag?
