I click "Launch Game" but nothing happens

roll back the newest AMD driver to an older version and turn everything down to start out

if you still have an issue there are more things to try but start with this

open command prompt
windows key > cmd … run as administrator
type > sfc /scannow

open battle.net launcher
top left bnet icon > settings
general > On Game Launch > exit battle.net completely

fix windows firewall from too many diablo installs/updates
windows key > type firewall > all an app through firewall
click administrator icon “change settings”
delete all diablo iv.exe / diablo retail entries
when the game launches again windows firewall will ask for firewall permissions again

delete all shader cache folders and files in these 2 windows directories to allow the game to build up new ones:
%LocalAppData%\NVIDIA\DXCache
%LocalAppData%\NVIDIA\GLCache
this will likely cause a lag and stutter initially but it will build up new files as you load

turn off all overlays (discord, nvidia, xbox recorder and game bar)

get your motherboard’s exact model and check the website for bios updates

reply with your pc specs below
motherboard brand & model
processor
model of ssd/m.2
windows version and build # (windows key > system information)
