I use hydras to proc a frost nova for my ice build.
Baseline Meteor only burns the ground and if the enemies move they don’t continue to burn. With Shattered Stars you apply burn directly to all enemies hit by the smaller meteorites in a much larger area. It also looks so much cooler than the basic spell because it’s a full on meteor shower. Only reason I play a fire build over the clearly superior frost and shock builds is because I like the way it looks, lol.
P.S. Of course I use the Adept Glyph with my Meteor build, it’s maxed out and gives well over 100% increased damage in addition to the 20% larger area.
The Hydra enchantment is still completely dead in the water though. Currently the hydra enchantment takes into account effects like mana cost reduction or free casting eg. Inferno, this effectively means that the more efficient your sorcerer build is the less useful the enchantment becomes. It really needs to ignore these effects when counting up to 300 stacks of mana spending in order to remain usable in the later game.
You can’t. It has no damage left after the obliteration it recieved in the beta.
