I’m going all in.
Many users complaining their cosmetics are overlapping right now. The original equipped item is also showing underneath the skin selected for the wardrobe.
I’m betting the bugged party system “error to join game” , “PM= Hey, bud you need to relog, you’re party bugged.” Won’t even get addressed and we’ll just get a hotfix for the cosmetics. 
6 season later and I still have to reset my game or ask a new player to reset your game, it’s common practice now. We all just accepted it apparently. You accept and invite, it says “declined” and you relog.
