To add to the pile of “uncap” arguments I have a question first. How hard is it to actually hit P300 naturally? “Naturally” here distinctly means that you do not cheese the game, so no crazy Urivar experience sourcing for 12 straight hours; just playing the game as Baal intended, looking around for the loots, and fighting bosses when it serves rather than as exp. sponges. So no min-maxing experience itself through repetitious grind of the same local activity.
The answer sets the stage for the value of “infinite” paragon for seasons.
s12 will take a much longer time. On the ptr Urivar was only 800k xps intead of 9m.
Does cheesing include the random chaotic goblin wave in infernal hordes? My buddy said she saw her bar move a noticeable amount each chaotic wave in the 295+ paragon range (she is on console and they dont have any way to “mouse” over the xps bar to see actual numbers).
With the shift in EXP from the pitts to the bosses, you get to 300 much faster now. And you dont have to grind obnoxious pits anymore. Focus on bosses and its doable in under a month. You have plenty of time in season 12 to accomplish 300.
I usually play till the end of the season and finish with Paragon around 280, barely half way to P300.
Reaching P300 was extremely difficult with running the Pit for days the only option to get there. Last season, with Chaos Armor, I had for the first time several builds able to clear Pit100 decently fast and I thought I could try to max all my Glyphs. Did it for my Druid, almost for my Necro but couldn’t even finish. Reached Paragon 290 for the first time. Not more.
I believe this season Paragon 300 is a lot easier with the easy XP we get from doing Bosses. I am currently P294. I believe I could have easily pushed to P300 for the first time but decided to go playing hardcore a couple weeks ago instead.
If XP from Bosses is heavily nerfed as Taetew said from his experience in the PTR, very few players will reach P300 in S12 unless there is another activity to take over.
I don’t believe there is any need for more Paragon points. If the exponential progression is kept above P300, the amount of time just for an additional point is just crazy. It could only make sense for Eternal players.
Of course, if Devs decide to unlock Paragon, they will probably introduce activities that make it possible to push further.
No matter what some people say it’s still absurd. I’ve been playing for a few weeks, have three characters that can run pit 100, grinded god knows how many lair and uber bosses, helltides, pits, you name it. Probably closing in on 200 hours total and I’m “only” paragon ~272. Apparently around 280 is halfway through to 300…
There is no way I am going to spend my life padding a virtual number for another 100 or 200 hours just to make it go to 300 instead of 272. There is zero point in doing that. Plenty of other challenges to chase in life.
with the lunar bonus is way easy. just get your potion, your 3 incenses and your xp fountain, then also find a shrine that will give you 100% xp
the go kill URIVAR.
you are welcome
I played a lot more this season than I normally do. I leveled my barb plus a pally and spiritborn. I have all 3 in decent gear with mythics. I even have a mythic sanctification on my barb for the double dip on selig. My barbs glyphs are all 100 and the others are in the 80-90 range.
With all that extra play just doing normal things I hit 275. Which is around the half way mark to 300.
Yeah I feel that. This is the first season since S3 where I put more then 100 hours in. Sanctification was the only reason I was engaged as long as I was.
